You don't understand why you're so attracted to Logan. Maybe it was how closed off he was and you feel the need to crack through his shell but everything he did or said made you question your mental stability. You were both teachers at Mutant High, trying to help children with their gifts, but all you could think about was him.
You needed time away from your classroom and him being around wherever you turned was exhausting. "Y/N?" Your best friend answered your call. "Are you okay? I haven't heard from you in forever."
You sighed. "Yes I'm more than okay, I've been so caught up in all this teaching stuff that I haven't had time to answer the phone… I was wondering if we could go out tonight and maybe get some drinks?"
You heard her shuffle around getting her stuff put together, "Of course I do!? Text me the place and I'll meet you there" You smiled "There's this bar by the school, I'll get ready and send you the address." You both say your goodbyes while you start to get ready for the night.
"Getting ready for a night out feels so much better when you don't have to follow a dress code," you said to yourself.
You collected all your belongings and walked down to the entryway before you were stopped by a curious voice.  "Where are you going?" Storm asked with a smug tone. You giggled, "I'm going out, I just need a little break," you smiled at her. "Don't be out too late, you still have a job to do." You wave her goodbye and make your way to your outing of the night.
Tumblr media
You met your best friend in front of the bar, and her face changed into a big smile "Y/N!" She yelled out as she ran up to you, pulling you into a hug. You smile at her. "You act like I've been gone for a year," you laugh. "Darlin' it's felt like a year"
You guys both walk into the bar. It's run down but in a rustic way. "It's kinda cute in here," your friend says, you both take a seat in the bar area. After being seated, you guys talk and order your drinks.
"So, tell me about everything since you've been away." You tell her everything, from bad students to annoying acquaintances, and then you bring up Logan.
"I'm so mesmerized by him that I can't even focus on my job F/N, it makes me so angry, he's like an egg that I cannot crack but at the same time, he's everything that I want."
Your friend takes a sip out of her martini glass. "I completely get it. That man is 300 pounds of pure muscle and sexiness." You move your nail around the top of your glass ."It isn't even his looks, it's his attitude and his personality. Don't even get me started on his hair." Your friend gives you a look as you continue to rant. "He's so infuriating as well, he has to know how I look at him at least but no, he ignores me constantly."
You could sense someone taking a seat by you but you ignore it. "Logan is just so sexy too, I don't even understand it" You could feel the liquor kicking in as you said it.
"Now I'm sexy? I thought I was infuriating." You gasp as you turn face-to-face with Logan himself. "I'm gonna give you guys a second." Your friend gets up and leaves the bar table. "Why do you have to be everywhere I go? I came here to get away from you."
You sigh at him. You couldn't help but look from his chest up to the cigar in his mouth.
"Maybe you just can't help being around me," He said with a shit-eating grin on his face. You scoff at him and shake your head as you watch him put his drink down. "That attitude is going to get you into trouble so I suggest you put it away, doll."
"I'm going to the bathroom." You quickly get up and make your way to the bathroom to get some space again...
You stand in front of the restroom mirror, hands against the counter, keeping yourself steady, when you hear someone walk in.
"Someone is in here!?" You yelled out but then you heard a rough voice respond, "I'm aware." The smell of pinewood and cigar smoke fills your sense of smell as he walks up close to you, caging you in, his arms on each side of you. "Why couldn't you just tell me how you felt, I don't bite, doll." You looked up at him "Because it would never work, we don't work Logan." He pushes the hair out of your face and looks down at your lips.
"How do you know if we don't try." He says while pulling you by the nape of your neck into a rushed kiss. You both are breathing heavily, he pulls himself out of the kiss eyeing your plump lips, and looking back at you, his eyes were so intimidating. He grabs your hips and spins you around, your ass is pressed up against him letting you feel his god-given gift. His hands slip under your dress and eagerly slip off your panties. You watch him take off his belt in awe.
He's so big.. he bites his lip while he strokes himself before he slides into you. You gasp at how it feels, it feels so good. His dick is heavy as he rocks into you, the rough pace letting you feel how bad he wants you, letting you feel his every need. The deep, irregular pumping of his dick leaves your mouth agape, moaning out his name like it's the only thing you can remember. He watches both of you in the mirror, watching himself go in and out of you. "God you're so fucking tight."
Your hand pulls at his hair as you feel his teeth graze your neck, you gasp and push your face into the crook of his neck. The choked-out groans he let out had you so close you could feel the pleasure on the tip of your toes.
"Logan, I'm getting close" you sigh. "Hold on baby, I'm almost there." He growls out into your ear, his hips snapping into yours.  His thrusts get sloppy as you feel him getting so desperate for a release "Look at the mirror while I make you finish all over me, doll,” he says, pulling your hair in the direction of the mirror. You both cum with each other, he chuckles as he places kisses against your neck. "Give us a chance Y/N, because even if you didn't know it, I needed you for so long that it hurts."
You went to reply as you heard a knock at the door "Y/N are you good!? I have to go!" You scramble to find your panties you catch Logan putting them in his pocket while putting his cigar back into his mouth. “Keeping these”

那维莱特 | NEUVILLETTE ; TEACH
summary | you're just so sexually inexperienced, surely neuvillette, someone who has lived for millenniums, could teach you a thing or two about pleasuring someone?
tags | nsfw (smut), fem!reader, slight corruption, first-time blowjob, throat bulge, face-fucking, cum swallowing, praise kink, mentions of virginity, 1.9k words
a/n : you have no idea how down bad i am. pt 2 here —> learn

neuvillette is not amused.
he’s always open to sharing his knowledge with others; in fact, he has been teaching you a plethora of things, more than you could’ve imagined. you admired neuvillette, he knew that very well. experience was definitely something he didn’t lack.
but some things… aren’t meant to be shared, especially not whatever you were asking for.
“its not that big of a deal,” you rolled your eyes, crossing your arms. “you said you would teach me anything.”
“please, it's unwise to joke about things like that,” neuvillette says. he looks at you for any hints of a smile, a giggle, anything to indicate that you were joking. he sees nothingー just you with your head slightly tilted, waiting patiently for his answer. quite cute, he must admit.
look, he understands that you are a curious person; you’re always up for expanding your knowledge. but isn’t this… a little too much? asking him to teach you how to give a blowjob? it's not like he didn’t have experience with… that. but this topic wasn’t exactly what he had in mind when he said you could ask him anything.
but neuvillette has a soft spot for you; he’s come to grow fond of you. what started from him finding it annoying how you pester him on the daily, to him looking forward to seeing you as an escape from his work. you’re like a breath of fresh air. he has no obligation to, but he feels like it's his job to guide and protect you.
the room fills with silence, and you attempt to draw an answer out of him again. he’ll probably give in, you think. after all, he does have a soft spot for you. “oh, but i’m not joking,” you rebutted. “why won’t you teach me?” you try again, hoping your question would be answered.
its silent yet again, the lack of response making you click your tongue. its hard to figure out how he’s feeling, because the look on his face tells you nothing. that’s when you thought you could tease him a little to get a reaction out of him, if that would even work.
“how disappointing. i suppose i’ll just have to ask someone else, maybe wriothesley? i’m sure he’ll be happy to teach me.”
the mention of another man’s name has his attention back onto you immediately. sure, he’s hesitant on teaching you about pleasuring someone. but no way is he going to let you ask someone else about this; he won’t allow it. won’t even consider it. the image of you sucking another man off has him furrowing his eyebrows.
“what do you think? or maybe i should askー”
“i think that’s enough, y/n.”
at this point, you think you might’ve actually made him angry. he’s never sounded this strict with you before, it almost sounds like he’s about to give you a whole lecture on why you shouldn’t be asking for these types of things. but he doesn’t.
it’s such a dirty act, it feels terribly wrong, but he simply couldn’t deprive you of such knowledge. if something like this piques your curiosity, then he will go along with it to satisfy you.
neuvillette clears his throat, composing himself. “i will only teach you onceー once and we won’t speak about this again. does that sound alright?”
he sees your face light up in an instant, nodding eagerly. “thank you, neuvillette! i will be forever grateful!” you exclaim, and he feels his cock twitch in his pants. fuck, he thinks. you’re going to be the death of him.
“kneel for me,” he asks of you, and you lower yourself obediently. you’re directly facing his crotch, and embarrassment creeps onto you. you shy away from the image in front of you, nervously playing with your fingers. your face is flushed red no matter how hard you try to hide it.
he notices immediately, hand reaching to stroke your hair, intending to provide some sort of comfort and reassurance. “are you nervous?” he questions, and you nod slowly.
“oh, love. don’t be nervous. i’ll teach you everything you need to know.”
your heart jumps at the pet name, eyes widening. that felt way too good to hear. you don’t ask if he called you that by mistake, partially because you were too eager to proceed, but also because you didn’t want him to correct himselfー if it was even a mistake at all. “please do, neuvillette,” you urge.
he finally releases his cock from the confines of his pants, hard and erect as it lightly slaps your cheek when he pulls it out.
you almost start drooling at his length. it was so large, so long, so thick. you haven’t even put it in your mouth and you’re already starting to think about how it would feel inside you. the pink tip leaks pearly drops of pre-cum. your hands reach up to his cock immediately, and he hisses.
“eager now, are we?” he teases, while you’re still in awe over his impressive size. he silently chuckles at how you admire his length, almost like you just found treasure. “have you ever seen a cock, y/n?”
you’ve… seen a few. not in real life though, and definitely none similar to his size. it's different, in a good way, seeing it up-close. it’s even more special because it's neuvillette. “not in real lifeー not like this, no.”
“i see,” he says, exhaling as he pulls your hand off, giving himself a couple of pumps. were you really that pure? it makes him so hard.
“are you ready? listen very carefully, yes?” he guides his cock onto your lips, tapping a few times. “take it in slowly, and ensure your teeth don’t touch,” he tells you.
he taps his cock on your lips again, and you open your mouth again without any hesitation. he guides his cock into your mouth inch by inch, and you taste his pre-cum on your tongue immediately. a tad bit salty, but you can take it.
“y/nー oh…” he sighs in pleasure as he feels your mouth wrap around his cock-head. he was in heavenー your mouth was so warm and wet, he could barely control himself from fucking into your face. he should be the one composed, he should be the one staying calm, he’s the one teaching you for fuck’s sake; yet he’s the one struggling as you start taking his cock further into your mouth.
“just like that, a little moreー mmh… thats it,” his breath hitches when he feels the tip hit the back of your throat. he was so deep in, but he wanted to just thrust it in further. you took it so well, he thinks. not even gagging like he expected you to, and no teeth just like he told you to. how obedient.
you adjusted your mouth on his cock as your drool started dripping down onto your lap. your hand reaches up to stroke what you couldn’t take in, and it elicits a gasp from him. he doesn’t instruct you to, but you start moving on your own as if you’ve done it before.
you drench his cock with your saliva as you suck him off, your hands holding his thighs for support.
“such a good girl, y/n. you take my cock so wellー don’t even need to teach you,” he praises and you hum around him as a form of thanks. you take that as motivation as you suck faster, occasionally swirling your tongue on the tip. you tongue his slit, licking up every drop of pre-cum that leaks.
he throws his head back when you take him particularly deep in your throat, and he almost couldn’t take it anymore. he stops you, pulling you off his cock. copious amounts of saliva drip out, a string of saliva connecting his cock to your mouth.
this was a sight he could only ever see in his dreams. your lips swollen, cheeks flushed red, your eyes tearyー god, he loves you, he really loves you. he thinks you look absolutely beautiful even with your face covered in your own spit. this does it for him.
“stay put, and let me fuck your face, alright? can you handle it, love?” there it was again, calling you ‘love’. you’re smitten, you’d do anything after hearing him call you that. “iー i can handle it.”
neuvillette smiles, wiping off some of the drool on your face before he slides his cock inside your mouth again. “as expected of my good girl.”
his hands hold the sides of your head for stability, slowly thrusting into your mouth to test the waters. when he’s sure you’re okay, he starts fucking into your face, making sure you feel every inch of his cock down your throat.
he can’t stopー he’s addicted. truth be told, he’s been deprived of sexual pleasure for so long, it felt like heaven. you took him so deep with no complaints, you deserve so much more for being so good to him. he can’t stop thrusting into your mouthー it feels like he was fucking a pussy.
and then thoughts of fucking you invade his mind. if you’ve never given a blowjob before, surely that would mean you’ve never had sex, which makes you a virgin. fuck, he wants to take you so bad. you’d be so tight, so warm, so sweet. would you like to know about sex too, then? would you let him take you?
he’s brought back to reality as your hand grips his thighs, signaling for him to stop. he thinks he might’ve hurt you, but you continue to your administrations. he’s so close, he feels his climax approaching, but he needs slightly more.
“give me your hand,” he requests, and you raise your hand up. he takes it gently, guiding it his balls as he squeezes them. “yeahー ah, keep doing that.”
what a fast learner you are. you massage his balls as you continuing to deep-throat him. the grip on your hair was getting tighter, louder groans coming out from him. “you’re going to make me cum, love. god, i’m so close.”
he breaks when you take him in so deep, he sees a bulge in your throat. it was his last straw. “ohー fuuuck…” he thrusts into you as he blows his load straight down your throat. you didn’t even have time to taste him or even react, widening your eyes as he throws his head back.
he pants, pulling his cock out slightly till only the tip was left in your mouth, pumping out weak spurts of cum. you swallowed it all, even going so far as to licking him clean of any remnants of cum.
neuvillette is a mess. you’re a mess. he’s so far gone, he still feels the effects of his climax. he pulls you off his cock, helping you up before tucking himself back in his pants.
“are you alright, y/n? are you hurt? my apologies, i should have asked for your permission,” he caresses your cheek, referring to how he came in your mouth. you shook your head. “it’s fineー i… liked it.”
“oh? how naughty,” he scolds, smoothing your messy hair down from how he gripped it earlier. “so, was this a helpful lesson, y/n? do you know nowー how to pleasure someone?”
you nodded. “really insightful. thank you, neuvillette. but…”
“but?”
“maybe... you can teach me what an orgasm feels like next?”
“i see. i will gladly indulge.”

HELLO BEAUTIFUL
who ever requested alastor x reader and asking their dad for something and allie and their dad both respond gave me an idea..
what if you did alastor x reader meeting readers parents it can be fluff or you can somehow make it smut if you like!
or maybe a part two of their idea it was so good ngl..
ANYWHOOSLE IM A BIG FAN KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
Your parents wanted to meet Alastor.
They had been sending letters, curious about the demon who had their daughter all lovesick.
The very thought made you nervous because well it was Alastor.
Of course he was a gentleman, he doted on you, but your love was a sadistic Overlord.
When you brought it up to the red demon, surprisingly he agreed.
Alastor was elated to meet your folks.
He promised to be on his best behavior.
So you told your parents you’ll see them soon with a visitor in tow.
————————————————————————————
“Oh honey just look at ya! Oh its been too long” your mother exclaimed when she opened the door to reveal you and Alastor. She pulled you into a tight hug, making you sigh at her comforting embrace.
She let y’all in and gushed at Alastor
”Well ain’t you a looker!” She giggled, giving you a sly smile “Dear you shouldn’t hide a face like that” she gave you a nudge, making you blush
”Momma!”
Alastor smiled and held his hand out “Haha why thank you madam. Its nice to finally put a face to the letters ”
Your mother snorted at his formality “Ooh I don’t shake hands c’mere dear!” She grabbed him into a hug.
She ushered the two of you to th living room.
Alastor looked around your home. It was charming and warm, much like you.
”CHARLES GET YOUR ASS IN HERE!” Your mother hollered before offering Alastor any snacks.
Your mother settled beside you “sooo my daughter has eluded us about you, mystery man. Care to tell us about yourself?”
Heavy footsteps raddled the house and a large form entered the living room.
Angry red eyes leered at you.
”Daddy!” You exclaimed happily, running from your seat and embracing the man.
He twirled you around, chuckling “Princess its been too long. Its god to have you home again. Your Ma said you finally brought a man over. So where’s the bastard?”
Your ears flattened as you got shy. Your mother sucked her teeth, rolling her eyes “Use ya eyes. This look like a bastard to you?” She gestured to Alastor who rose and approached your father.
Your father was tall and intimidating, but Alastor wasn’t fazed.
He stuck his hand out “Pleasure to meet you sir, simply a pleasure.”
Your father let out a growl and took his hand, gripping it tightly.
He glared “White or dark?”
Alastor cocked his head “Liquor sir?”
”You can tell a lot about a man by his choice of drink. White or dark?”
Alastor coolly responded “Dark. Whiskey preferably. But I’m not against the taste of scotch or brandy”
Your father let out a hearty laugh that boomed through the house. He turned to you “Good choice dear”
Once all settled, you decided to answer some questions (your mother’s)
You told them how the two of you met and how the Overlord was relentless in courting you. You even talked about the hotel business and how Alastor supported you.
Your father took a sip of his liquor ”A Overlord huh? Hmmm”
Your mother preened “dark and handsome oh my”
You had relaxed against Alastor, your chest brimming with affection as your parents chatted with the demon.
A large hand intertwined your fingers, snapping you back to reality.
You turned to Alastor, who was looking at you affectionately. He brought your hand to his mouth, pressing a soft kiss to your skin.
”Your daughter had my heart the moment I laid eyes on her. I am truly a lucky man to have such a gem at my side”
Your lip wobbled and you heard your mother coo.
”Well I couldn’t imagine anyone else worthy of her. Treat her well now or else” your father’s horn flared in warning.
You all laughed.
Your mother suggested you stay for dinner.
The two of you prepped the meal, while your father took Alastor out back to show off his guns.
You were elbow deep in dough when you heard your mother speak
”So when’s the wedding?”
Your cheeks burned “wedding? Momma we’re in Hell. Do we really need a wedding?”
She shot you a look “girl you hit the gold mine you gotta secure him quick”
Soft static greeted your ears as your father and Alastor entered the kitchen. Your father was grinning “Good aim on this one! Imma have to borrow him on my hunts. Ha what’s you say son?”
Son. Your daddy had acknowledged Alastor as his son-in-law.
Alastor chuckled “i would love to. Its been a while since I let loose”
Your father ushered him away, going on about different guns and techniques used in hunting.
———————————————————————————-
You hugged your mother and father as you stood on the porch ready to leave.
”Oh do you have to go so soon?” Your mother pouted, making your father rub her shoulder. You smiled, looping your arm with Alastor’s. Alastor answered “I’m sure we will see you soon. After all I would love to see you lively folks at the wedding”
Your mother squealed as you looked at Alastor in shock
”Al?”
He chuckled “Your father gave me his blessing when he shot me”
Your whipped your head to your father “”Daddy!”
The man shrugged “had to test his devotion. I’m not just gonna let anyone marry my princess. He can take a few bullets if he love you”
You shook your head and waved them goodbye as you departed.
Alastor was humming as you walked back to the hotel.
”Your folks are a lively bunch dear! I see. I see you get your charm from” he chuckled.
You laughed “you’re lucky. Daddy ate the last man I brought over”
Alastor leaned to press a kiss to your forehead, lacing his fingers with yours
”Good thing I shot him first then”
——————————————————————————————
This is my 100th request!!!!
THANK YOU FOR 2K!!! YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING AND I NEVER GET TIRED OF INTERACTING WITH EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!!!!

› 〉 𝟎𝟎𝟓. AUTHOR'S NOTES, I'm on that grind rn, posting as much as I can while I still have the motivation. also I LOVE THIS REQUEST!! AHHH I'll happily do it!!
Tumblr media
🜸 ㅤ▎ㅤ▍ㅤYour curiosity of the citadel started when MORTY had accidently mentioned it- he had been complaining about all the scams he found there when you overheared, quickly prompting you to immediately ask questions about it- RICK never told you anything about this citadel so obviously you were curious. MORTY had no idea RICK was keeping the citadel hidden from you for a reason and thus he happily began to explain about the citadel until he was caught by RICK.
"W-w-what the hell Morty?!" RICK pinched the bridge of his nose, his eyes narrowed at his morty- teeth practically gritting together in annoyence causing the teen boy to quickly question why his grandpa was suddenly even more angry with him "W-what?" He asked, slowly getting nervous as Rick groaned, ignoring your puzzled and equaly annoyed look, "They weren't supposed to find out about the citadel Morty!" Your Rick burped, now dragging his hand down his face "W-w-w-well I-I-I didn't know that!" Morty defended himself just before you voiced your opinion "Rick why have you never told me about the citadel? Meeting other me's would be so cool!" "No it wouldn't be... trust me [name] I know" "Maybe for you" you rolled your eyes, resting your elbow on Morty's shoulder (who was nervously looking between you and Rick). "Take me to the citadel Rick" you commaned after a short pause, immediately getting a shake of the said and a stern 'no' from Rick "What the fuck, why? You take Morty!" "It isn't the same with you as it is with Morty." "I dont care" "Neither do I but-" "So?"
🜸 ㅤ▎ㅤ▍ㅤyou two began to bicker about it, with you being insistant on going to the damned citadel while RICK came up with any and every excuse on why you should not and could not go- "they have man-eating cows so you'd be eaten immediately" was one of them, quite a stupid one you must admit but you quickly contrasted it "Okay? so i'll bring a gun!" and that went on for hours.... and then eventually days until RICK eventually gave up.
🜸 ㅤ▎ㅤ▍ㅤThat's how you ended up in the citadel. Wandering about like a child with your RICK close behind, glaring at every other rick who even glanced your way.
You looked around, eyes shining with curiosity and awe at each building and piece of technology you found (which was every where) "What the fuck Rick, why didn't you show me this place sooner!" "Because this place sucks?" you decided not to answer your boyfriend and instead run around some more, unintentionally ignoring RICK- who's voice was getting quieter and quieter until you couldn't hear it anymore. So now you found yourself by a train station, looking at all the different ricks, most wearing factory worker clothes which struck you as being odd, aren't all rick's smart asf? why are they dressed like that? Your overly curious nature led you to one of them, poking him in the shoulder for his attention. Your contact with him startled that rick, he quickly snapped his head to you- getting ready to shout at whoever was disturbing him until he processed your face- his eyes widening in, what you assumed to be, awe "a-a [name]?!" He bleched, asking like you were some damn pokemon "whats good" was your simple, yet slightly annoyed reply. "H-how did you get here? [n-names] are so rare" He questioned, a grimy hand getting closer to your face, possibly to examine it which was something you did not appriciate so thus you leant back. "Woah hands off" You held up your hands, trying to form a distance between you and the rick- which had somehow caught the attention of the other ricks who were staring at you with wide eyes, you could practically hear their shocked whispers which also consisted of 'a [name]?' 'when did a [name] get here?' 'where is their rick?' what the fuck are they talking about? and just as you were about to leg it in the opposite direction, one of the ricks- in an extremely expensive suit- walked up to you "Where is your rick?" his voice seemed posh, he didn't stutter and definately didn't have that alcoholic stench you were familiar with "uh... he's over- shit." you looked behind you, hoping to see your boyfriend yet was met with nothing.
"So your rick has left you? Meaning you're up for grabs?" "what the shit??? NO. My rick hasn't left me ass-face, and I'm not 'up for grabs' like a damn toy! Go find another [name]!" You gritted your teeth, clearly irritated by how you were talked about like you were an object "I can't just 'find another [name]' thats impossible, nearly all [names] are gone." the rick rolled his eyes, matching your irritation "But either way, why would you want to stay with whoever your rick is when you could be with me? I'm one of the citadels bet buissness men, I could treat you well" the way he was talking was making you sick to your stomach "Eat ass dude, My rick is brilliant! I dont need a replacement!" "Well clearly--" "-- you need to get the fuck away from [name]" a new, yet exact name, voice intergected the posh rick's statement, angering him "Just who the hell do you think you are?" "RICK OH MY GOD." You practically threw yourself to your rick, desperate to get out of the situation you were in- something that made all the other rick's (appart from the posh one) to let out defeated sighs and revert to how they were before you appeared. "So you're their rick? You seem pathetic." "The only thing pathetic here is that you think you can take my s/o" Your Rick jeered, crossing his arms "Well I can If I want to, you fucking alcoholic--" thankfully, the rick was quickly cut off, as the sound of a gun fired through the station- earning a small gasp from you and annoyed yells from the alive ricks.
"Come on [name]" Your rick grabbed your hand, before shooting a portal and walking through it "You didn't have to--" "-- He was getting on my nerves, I hate those types of Ricks.." "I see why.. but Rick, why did he say that nearly all of mes are gone?". You saw Rick physically stiffen up, before he shook his head "You'll find out later, I can't be asked to tell you right now." and while you were tempted to bother him about the topic, you had learnt that It's best to listen to him, at least for now. With a sigh, you plopped down on the sofa- next to your boyfriend "I will never go there again." "Yeah, see, what do I keep telling you all? I'm the smartest man in the universe and I know what I'm talking about ALWAYS, dumb pieces of shit" He sighed not even looking your way "Yeah yeah.. let's just watch some interdementional cable" You snatched the remote from the ground and began to switch through the channels, "WAIT, [name] go back! go fucking back! I saw ball fondlers!"
🜸 ㅤ▎ㅤ▍ㅤWhile RICK will never admit it, he is glad that you are never going back to the citadel- makes it easier for him to control his jealousy.

hope you guys are all well!! make sure you're sleeping enough!
Masterpost
There was a moment of silence before you chose to speak, avoiding Snape's gaze. "Thank you." You sighed softly, your body relaxing as Snape walked with you, his hand still glued to the small of your back. "I didn't really expect you to help me." You added timidly, braving a glimpse at his pale face. His brows knitted together, but you weren't sure whether it was out of confusion or anger.
"Why wouldn't I help you?" Snape questioned rather coldly, making you stand up straighter. He kept his eyes glued straight ahead, but you were busy staring at him.
"Well... you don't seem too fond of me. I just thought...-"
"Thought that I'd let that slimy imbecile have his despicable way with you?" Snape glared at you, his eyes twinkling with irritation. You sucked in a sharp breath, shrinking under his intense stare. "Whether I am 'fond' of someone or not, I will not let such a thing happen, regardless." He huffed, clearly angry. You could feel it through the way he pulled you closer to him - whether it was absent-mindedly or consciously, you weren't sure, but you also weren't complaining. You'd fantasised about this moment for years.
The two of you continued walking until you reached the same spot that you had seen McGonagall, Dumbledore and Snape stood earlier. "Thank you, anyway." You muttered as a lacklustre sigh fell from your lips. "I was afraid that I was going to be stuck with him." Snape's head snapped towards you.
"If I wasn't there, I'm sure someone else would have helped you." Snape said in a softer tone, attempting to settle your mind. You still seemed a little anxious despite having been saved from Karkaroff.
"Maybe," you nodded, shrugging, "but I'm glad it was you." You muttered the last part, earning a head tilt from the professor stood beside you.
"Glad it was me?" He repeated, evidently surprised by your words. Snape's heart skipped a beat, and he suddenly felt a little warm.
"Erm," Your eyes widened and your cheeks burned as you suddenly realised what you had said. "Well, yeah, I doubt anyone else could have scared off Karkaroff like that." You laughed awkwardly, brushing your hair in front of your face to hide your blushing cheeks.
"I'm sure Professor Flitwick would have done a fine job of scaring Karkaroff." Snape muttered amusedly, making you smile.
"Flitwick can be scary." You hummed, holding back a laugh as you avoided Snape's curious eyes. "He's a duelling champion after all."
"Duelling champion or not, I highly doubt Filius could intimidate a man such as Igor." Snape said rather seriously. You frowned to yourself. "Igor doesn't take lightly to such things."
"And you know this how?" You asked, looking up at the Potions Master inquisitively. What he said was rather strange, and it piqued your interest.
"That does not concern you." Snape said flatly, and you groaned in response. A small, amused smile tickled his lips at the noise.
"Of course it doesn't." You sighed. Snape glanced down at you, quirking a brow.
"What a nosy little thing you are." He teased, his smile turning into a wicked smirk. You rolled your eyes at Snape, your cheeks burning up again at his words. Was he flirting with you?
"That I am." You replied, narrowing your eyes at him. Turning your attention back to the dancing students, the music suddenly slowed into a gentle, almost-romantic song. You watched as couples flooded the dancefloor, your heart aching at the sight - you couldn't remember the last time you'd danced with someone like that.
Snape let the silence ensue for a minute or so before he spoke, rolling his shoulders. He glanced down at you, noticing your yearning eyes. "Would you... like to dance?" He asked quietly, inducing a surprised look to cross your features.
"What?" You blinked, snapping your head to look at him.
"Are you familiar with the concept? Dancing?" Snape frowned at you, half of his mouth quirking upwards into a smirk.
"Yes, I am- I'm just... shocked at what you asked."
"You don't think I dance?" Snape cocked a brow, and you stared at him in disbelief. "How ignorant of you, Professor L/N."
"You don't seem like the type-"
"Would you like to dance or not?" Snape huffed, growing tired of your comments. You held back a giggle and nodded, a bashful smile painting your lips as he took your hand and lead you to the floor, whispers and gasps erupting around the two of you.
"People are staring." You whispered, gazing up at Snape as his other hand settled on your waist, the other keeping a secure hold of yours. It felt as if someone had just stolen all of your breath from you as he pulled you a little closer to him; a tiny smirk appearing on his lips as he watched your cheeks become flushed again.
"Let them." Snape replied, his smooth and velvet-like voice sending tingles through your body. You had to cough to compose yourself - there was no way you were letting your little crush slip out right now. As the music resumed, you began to sway, your heart going ten to the dozen as you felt his fingers tighten around your waist. You weren't exactly sure how much more you could take without collapsing onto the floor into a hot mess.
Whilst the two of you swayed to the slow music, you were quietly admiring Snape's pale face, and his pretty features, most specifically his large, aquiline nose - that was one thing that you grew to adore. Not that small noses were bad, but there was something... intriguing about larger noses.
"Something on my face, Professor L/N?" Snape muttered, his eyes twinkling mischievously under the bright lights. Your breath hitched at his sudden question and you looked away, a little embarrassed that you let yourself get caught.
No, but it's missing something, you thought to yourself, swallowing thickly as you shifted your eyes back to his, blinking slowly.
"No," You said quietly, chewing on the inside of your bottom lip nervously. Behind Snape, you caught sight of Karkaroff, who looked positively fuming. "Karkaroff doesn't look too happy." You commented, poking your head past Snape to glimpse at the Bulgarian Headmaster. Karkaroff's eyes were almost burning with jealousy and his vulgar features were twisted into a rather foul-looking scowl as he stared at you and Snape from across the floor.
"Of course he doesn't," Snape drawled, twirling you around, "I saved his next victim." He sneered, his voice soaked with venom. You were a little shocked to say the least, you hadn't seen Snape be so worked up by a singular person before. As you twirled around, you stumbled slightly and Snape quickly caught you with his large hand, placing it upon your waist. Your eyes immediately flicked up to his and you smiled sheepishly, watching as he quirked a brow. "I thought you'd be a little more graceful than this." Snape hummed teasingly.
"I suppose I dance with two left feet." You replied, rolling your eyes at him.
"Oh, I can see that." Snape said sarcastically and chuckled quietly to himself, though you felt the vibration of it through his chest, and you couldn't help but smile. That was the first time you'd heard him genuinely chuckle.
"Wow, I didn't know you could chuckle." You teased him, unable to stop your smile from growing into a grin. Snape rolled his eyes at you and twirled you around again, purposefully to trip you up. You gasped as he did so, your hand landing on his strong chest to steady yourself as you fell into him, and an amused smirk crossed his features as he watched you stumble once more.
"Whoops." Snape hummed playfully, and you scrunched your nose up at him.
"Thanks for that." You sighed, fighting back a smile.
"My pleasure." He said languidly in that deep voice, a shiver sliding down your spine as you stared up at him, your eyes dropping to his smirking lips for a brief moment.
"So," you cleared your throat, forcing your eyes away from his mouth, "how do you know Igor?" You asked, glancing between his shining black eyes.
"I believe I said that didn't concern you." Snape replied, narrowing his eyes at you.
"I was just curious." You mumbled.
"And curiosity killed the cat." Snape said, almost like a warning. If he told you, he'd have to tell you that he used to be a Death Eater, and he'd definitely rather not do that now. Especially when he had you so close to him. Snape also didn't want to watch your eyes fill with fear and hate.
"Alright, I won't pry." You sighed softly, feeling yourself grow a little hot under his intense gaze. "Mind if I get some air?" You asked, and Snape nodded silently, releasing you from his grasp. You poked your head beside him again to spot Karkaroff who looked ready to pounce on you. Shivering uncomfortably, you looked back to Snape. "Will you come with me?"
"Afraid of the dark?" He teased, though he noticed your anxious face, and realised it wasn't the dark that you were afraid of.
"No, just slimy Bulgarian Headmasters." You laughed dryly, though Snape could tell that beneath the joke, you were terrified of being caught alone with Karkaroff. He nodded in response, and placed a hand on the small of your back, leading you out of the Great Hall through a small door and into the corridors. The loud music and raucous laughter began to fade as the two of you walked in the direction of the courtyards.
The cool, almost chilly night air was a drastic change from the muggy one inside the Great Hall, and you definitely felt safer with Snape accompanying you. You were currently sat on a broken stone wall, with Snape stood just behind you, his hands tucked behind his back and underneath the shadows of his black cloak.
"Are you feeling any better?" He asked, his smooth voice penetrating the silence that had fallen upon the two of you.
"A little, yeah," You hummed. "It was getting a little hot in there." You chuckled quietly, turning your body slightly to glance up at him.
"Yes," Snape agreed and shifted his gaze from the nightsky to your twinkling eyes. "I'm surprised you didn't faint underneath that beautiful dress." He said casually, his eyes flicking to the silky material that clung to your curves. Did Snape really just compliment you?
Your eyes widened for a moment, fluttering in shock, "You think my dress is beautiful?" You asked softly, a little smile picking at the corners of your lips.
"Well- yes, I suppose so." Snape stumbled over his words slightly as he averted his eyes from your form and back to the twinkling nightsky.
"Thank you," Your smile widened at his words, and a light blush painted your supple cheeks. "I would offer you a compliment on your outfit, but you always wear the same thing." You teased him, grinning.
"Ha, ha," Snape quirked a brow at you. "Don't tempt me in retrieving Karkaroff." He said sarcastically, and you poked your tongue out at him.
"You wouldn't dare."
"Oh, I would." Snape tilted his head at you, a cheeky smirk playing on his lips.
You laughed softly, "As if. I'm the best company you've had all evening." You said, folding your arms against your chest.
"A goblet of wine would be better company than you." Snape teased, and you rolled your eyes at him. He was lying, of course, but there was nothing better than seeing you smile.
"Oh yeah, so why you were smiling earlier when you were dancing with me?" You copied him and cocked a brow tauntingly.
"Your lack of skill was amusing." Snape shrugged, still staring up at the sky.
"Teach me, then." You said, and his head immediately snapped to you, his eyes widening slightly.
"Teach you?"
"Yes, teach me." You repeated and stood up from the stone wall, slowly walking to him, placing your hands on your hips. "If you're so good, surely you can lend me a hand?" You teased, smiling.
Snape sighed softly, staring at you for a moment, evidently pondering your offer. After a moment or two, he retrieved his hands from behind his back and shuffled towards you, taking a hold of one of your hands and placing his other upon your waist. You settled your opposite hand atop of his shoulder, and you and Snape began to sway together once more, though this time it felt a little more intimate since it was just the two of you and the sparkling nightsky for company. You felt breathless as he tugged you a little closer, his eyes boring into yours as you were mere inches apart.
"Now," Snape muttered, and you felt his hot breath against your reddening face. "When you spin, don't look at the ground." You only nodded in response, not trusting your voice right now.
Snape let go of your waist, but kept hold of your hand and raised it slightly to spin you slowly. As you spun round, you kept your eyes on his, a bashful smile gracing your lips as you managed to keep a steady foot. A grin broke out on your face.
"Now, a little faster." Snape said quietly and spun you around again, though with a quicker pace. You gasped as you tripped, a shiver travelling down your spine as you felt a pair of hands catch your waist; your own hands landing on Snape's chest. Quickly looking up, you swiftly slid your hands from his chest and to his forearms, blushing furiously.
"Sorry," you winced slightly, "I'm not very good at this." You laughed, and surprisingly, a genuine smile broke out on Snape's face.
"No," he said, chuckling, "you're utterly terrible." Your face grew an even deeper shade of red as you glanced away from him, embarrassed once again. Snape felt as if he could melt right then and there, you looked so adorable.
"I suppose it's a good thing I wasn't employed as the Professor of Dancing." You joked awkwardly, smiling up at Snape as he gazed down at you, his eyes softening a tad. You bit the inside of your lip.
"I don't think you'd last a day here if you were." Snape said with a cheeky smile.
"Clearly." You huffed quietly, your fluttering eyes flicking between his deep, distracting black ones. A strand of hair fell in front of your face, and Snape reached a hand up to gently brush it out of your face, the tips of his fingers grazing against your pink cheeks. Your breath hitched at the intimate touch, and almost instinctively, you felt yourself leaning in towards him as he let his hand settle against your cheek; thumb absentmindedly brushing the apple of it.
Snape was entranced by you - the way your luscious hair framed your beautiful face perfectly, the way your eyes twinkled like the stars he was staring at, and the way your adorable cheeks turned a different shade of red each time he looked at you. It was hypnotising, and he felt himself becoming trapped under your spell.
Without thinking, Snape leaned forwards and pressed his lips against yours in a soft kiss, his hand tightening around your waist as he felt you relax underneath his touch. It was as if time had stopped as he kissed you, it felt like only the two of you existed in that very moment - everything else became nothing; obsolete. The only thing that pulled him out of the trance was the sweet noise that slipped from your lips as you kissed him back, your hands flying up to curl around his neck; fingers tickling the nape of it.
As the two of you reluctantly pulled away from each other, you giggled and nudged your nose against his. "I wasn't expecting that." You whispered, unable to contain your grin.
"Nor was I." Snape said breathlessly, smiling as he let his arm wrap greedily around your waist to pull you as close as possible to him. This was definitely not the way Snape thought the way his night was going to go, but Merlin, he was not complaining. It was the perfect ending to a beautiful night.
let me know what you thought if you have a chance! :)

La Squadra React to Reader Crushing on Ghiaccio
Because I love him so much 🥹❄️
CW: None
Tumblr media
Risotto Nero
Is pretty indifferent to it. As long as it doesn’t get in the way of your work, it’s fine with him.
Though he would be lying if he said he wasn’t at least a little curious, since most people are put off by Ghiaccio’s aggressive personality but you’re an exception.
Being the observant person he is, Risotto notices your blush and every longing glance you give Ghiaccio. That’s how he knows you like him in the first place.
He may be serious but he’s still caring, so if you seem to be struggling to get closer to Ghiaccio, he will give you advice from time to time. Listen to him. It always works.
If you follow his advice and it works he’s like a silently proud dad.
Prosciutto
Judgmental.
Why Ghiaccio? Sure, he is a good looking guy, but you could have chosen someone calmer and more sophisticated. At least in his opinion. (This is Prosciutto we’re talking about)
But regardless, he isn’t really one to meddle in people’s romantic affairs. The most he’ll do is cast judgement.
Though we all know that he’s quite caring, so if you need advice, he will give it to you. But he’ll make sure you know that your duties come first.
He definitely lifts you up if you’re nervous or feeling down!
He will be protective if Ghia is rude to you for any reason.
Pesci
He’s very supportive!
He may be a little surprised that you chose Ghiaccio, but he won’t question it.
Ghiaccio kind of scares him, but Pesci will be there for you if you need advice! He is also very good at comforting you if you doubt yourself for some reason.
Very sweet and routes for you 100%!
10/10 Wingman!
Melone
Oh he’s having a heyday!
He’s the most obnoxious yet enthusiastic wingman you could ask for. You like his best friend. Of course he’ll want to help.
He will want to know everything. Why do you like Ghiaccio? Is it his cute curls? His glasses? His handsome face? His muscles?
He will tell you whatever you want to know about Ghiaccio. Even information you may not have asked for, like the color of his briefs.
Will definitely ask you if you’ve had sexual fantasies about Ghiaccio. Even if you have don’t tell him about them.
Will constantly make dirty jokes when you and Ghiaccio are in a room together. It lowkey feels like he’s hitting on Ghiaccio for you…?
If you need serious advice he’s actually pretty good at it. He knows Ghiaccio the best out of everyone, so you can rely on him.
Melone will basically tell you to just go for it. Tell Ghiaccio how you feel because he appreciates honesty and straightforwardness. If it doesn’t go well, Melone will gladly make it all better ;)
Formaggio
He’s a little indifferent to it. You like Ghiaccio? He’s a little surprised for the same reason as everybody else, but hey, you do you.
He will tease you a little bit though, but it’s all in good fun.
He makes sure you know that you can come to him for advice.
Like Melone, he tells you to approach Ghiaccio. His methods may not be too helpful though because he recommends flirtation, and Ghia is not the best at handling flirting.
If you and Ghia end up together he’s happy for you! If you don’t, he’ll swoop in and get with you himself ;)
Illuso
Oh he knows before any of the others. Why? Because Man in the Mirror.
He scoffs. Ghiaccio? The ice brat??? What’s so special about him?!!
He’s mostly indifferent but it will cost you half your bank account to keep his petty mouth shut.
If you piss him off he will threaten to tell Ghiaccio. Will he go through with it? Who knows.
Ghiaccio
Look he may be book-smart but bro’s dense as hell when it comes to romance.
Don’t let him catch you staring at him. He will blow up at you without hesitation.
He will notice if you act differently around him but he assumes it’s because you hate him or something. He’s used to people being scared of him but that doesn’t make him any less angry.
Probably treats you as if you’re a nuisance because of it.
Eventually if the secret comes out and he doesn’t feel the same way, he’ll be flustered but may avoid you for some time. But if he reciprocates your feelings, he’ll practically melt.

Prompt - "You need to leave."
Requested - anon
Tumblr media
The Doctor never said more about his past than he had to. Most of the people who travelled with him never asked too many questions, too caught up in the life that came with knowing the Doctor to ask about who he really was. When they did ask he gave them just enough to stop asking.
He didn’t know what was different about you. When you asked he found he didn’t mind sharing a part of himself with you, a part of himself that nobody else knew. He couldn’t say for sure why because it ached his hearts terribly to talk about a life long gone but it was a little bit easier with you at his side.
You were a curious thing too, he’d lost count of how many times he’d lost you, you wandering off, too distracted by something or other and ready with a million and one questions by the time the Doctor finally did find you.
He knew sooner or later you’d be curious about him too, once you found out he had two hearts that had taken up about a week’s worth of conversation, you asking questions about Time Lords and what else was different about them, not knowing that there were no more Time Lords out there and missing the sad look that the Doctor forced off his face.
He had taken you to a planet he had found many, many years ago, one that made his chest feel warm and a smile pull on his face as you repeated the name after him, the word Zirafell sounding as beautiful as the planet itself coming from your lips. He had never shown it to anyone before but there was something so extraordinarily different about you that he wanted to share all his hiding spots and secrets with you.
The two of you were sitting in the field, the TARDIS parked not too far away. The grass was littered with little pink and blue flowers and a lilac lake glistened under the two suns in front of you.
“Where are you from anyway?” You asked softly, breaking the peaceful silence that had settled between you causing the Doctor to look at you in surprise but you kept your gaze on the lake.
“Me? Oh nowhere really.” The Doctor answered after a few beats of silence, watching as a frown pulled at your face.
“Everyone’s from somewhere.” You told him, finally turning to face him and seeing the discomfort on his face. You wondered whether to push it but before you could decide the Doctor spoke again.
“Not me. Not anymore.” The Doctor sighed and you stayed silent for a moment, just looking at him.
His gaze was on something just passed your shoulder, refusing to look at you as his mind played memories from long before you could even imagine. You wanted to know what he was thinking about though, wanted to know what put that sort of look on a person's face.
“You could always go back home.” You told him, keeping your voice soft.
The Doctor looked back at you, a sad smile spreading across his face. You hadn’t seen that smile in a while, of course you’d seen it plenty when you’d first met him. A sad man sitting alone looking like his whole world had fallen apart around him and there was nothing he could do about it.
It took some time but eventually he told you about the people he’d lost and how travelling with him was dangerous. He had told you he’d take you home, that he’d understand if you wanted to leave but you just wrapped your arms around him, pulling him in for a hug, smiling into his chest when he gripped you tight.
“Not even I can do that.” The Doctor laughed softly, no amusement in it as he turned to look out at the lake. He never wanted to talk about it, about all that pain and suffering, about what he had done and yet sat here with you, he wanted you to know that sad, angry, lonely part of him.
“My home’s long gone, Y/N.” The Doctor said after a long silence where you had figured he wasn’t going to share anything with you. “It was a beautiful place, you’d have loved it. I’d love to have shown you. The Time Lords, my people, the universe was so much brighter with them in it. People would cheer when they saw one and now, now they’re gone, my planet’s gone.”
“What happened to it?” You asked, voice barely above a whisper as you looked at him, his eyes glazed over.
“There was a war.” He told you, swallowing around a lump in his throat. “It doesn’t matter, but nobody won that day. Nobody ever really wins I suppose. Everyone died. Everyone but me.”
When you first saw the Doctor, before you knew who he was, you just referred to him as the sad man. Watching him now you couldn’t think of a better way to describe him, the sad man, the sad man who was all alone in the universe, the sad man who had lived through the destruction of his whole planet, his whole race.
The sad man with a magical box who spent his life bringing hope everywhere he went.
“The last of the Time Lords.” You murmured, remembering what a woman from several months back had hissed to him, at the time the Doctor brushed it off when you asked questions, now you knew why.
“The last of the Time Lords.” The Doctor agreed just as quietly and neither of you said anything else, there was nothing left to say so you rested your head on his shoulder, his coming to rest on top of yours as the two of you stared ahead at the lilac water.
From that day onwards you and the Doctor were closer than ever, he shared more of his life with you and you found yourself falling a little bit more for the man as each day passed. It was a dangerous thing to do, falling in love with the Doctor and yet you let yourself fall, not bothering to question if he would catch you but enjoying the fall while it lasted.
You felt closer with the Doctor than you had with anyone you had known back home, not a single day went by where you regretted leaving, regretted choosing the Doctor over your old life. You knew you’d make the same choice over and over again. You could never give the Doctor up.
Months passed since that day, months where you and the Doctor would spend your nights floating through the galaxy, legs hanging over the TARDIS door as the Doctor told you about the different stars and planets that surrounded you with such fondness, months were he took your hand in yours and you couldn’t help but smile, savouring the feeling of his thumb running softly across the back of your hand as he pulled you along, tugging you back to him when you went to wander off. Months were you and the Doctor traded secrets in the quiet of the night, things that you’d never have dreamed of sharing with anyone else and yet knowing the whispered words were safe with each other.
“You’ll love this one, Y/N/N!” The Doctor told you with an excited grin on his face, hurrying you to put your coat on causing you to laugh before he finally grabbed your hand and pulled you out of the TARDIS, pausing long enough to lock the box before the two of you were off.
“Welcome to Thucruiruta.” The Doctor beamed at you and you couldn’t help the gasp that escaped you as you finally looked around.
The planet was beautiful, the sky was golden and all sorts of creatures were moving around you, so many things demanded your attention and the thing that won it was the Doctor squeezing your hand.
“It’s beautiful, Doctor.” You breathed out, watching as the Doctor’s grin softened and you didn’t even try and stop yourself from smiling back, leaning into him before letting him lead the way.
The Doctor was eager to show you everything, used to your curiosity and the hundreds of questions you came up with, more than happy to show off and answer them, making his way through the stands and insisting you try all the different foods on display.
It was hard to imagine such a perfect day taking a turn but you had also gotten used to trouble following the Doctor by now, so when an explosion sounded not too far in the distance you immediately turned to the Doctor, waiting for him to do something.
It didn’t take him more than a second to grab your hand, pulling you into the heart of the danger and you went along with him willingly. You knew you always would, you never gave it a second thought, you knew that you would always follow the Doctor no matter where he went.
You gasped as you took in the scene, people were scattered all over the floor, some crying out and others not moving at all. You gripped the Doctor’s hand in yours and he squeezed back before moving further into the chaos, looking around for some clue as to what had happened.
There was a child on the floor, a deep cut in their green skin as blue blood poured from it. You pulled your hand from the Doctor’s and made your way to the child’s side as the Doctor pulled the sonic screwdriver out to try and find what had caused the explosion.
“You alright?” You asked softly, pulling your jacket off and using a sharp bit of rubble to rip the end of your shirt in lieu of a bandage.
“Hurts.” The kid whimpered and you gave her an encouraging smile, warning her it might sting as you tied the torn material around her arm as tightly as you could.
“Good job, that’ll be good until we can get you to your family.” You told her standing up and holding a hand out for her, pulling her up by her uninjured arm and looking around. “Where was your family?”
You watched as she pointed the way you had come from, away from where the explosion was and you glanced over your shoulder to see the Doctor glaring down at the sonic, a furious expression you couldn’t ever remember seeing on his face that sent a shiver down your spine.
“Come on then, let’s see if we can find them.” You said, pulling your gaze from the Doctor and forcing the uneasy feeling you suddenly felt in the pit of your stomach away, leading the young girl away from the scene.
Even in the sea of screams and shouts for friends and family you managed to find the young girl's family quite easily, her mum falling to her knees and wrapping her arms around her daughter, mindful of her arm after she winced.
You stayed long enough for the family to thank you tearfully and the girl to hug you before you pushed your way through the crowd and looked around for the Doctor, frowning when you couldn’t see him.
You made your way further into where the explosion had gone off, gasping when something sharp dug into your arm, looking to your left to see a tall figure beside you, sharp teeth visible as the thing grinned down at you and pushed you forward, dragging you alongside it and not even pausing as you fought back against it.
There was a slimy sort of wet texture to the creature and you couldn’t stop yourself from wincing as it’s nails drew blood from you, the thing snarling the whole time until it pushed you onto the floor and you were staring at sharper nails and blue feet, looking up to see more than a dozen of the things standing together.
“Let her go.” The Doctor’s voice sent a wave of relief through you and your head snapped around to look at him. “Now.”
The Doctor’s voice was cold, so devoid of any emotion that it scared you. The creatures, however, didn’t seem at all phased by him and instead laughed at the Doctor.
“The Doctor always was too fond of the humans.” One of the creatures laughed, sending a wave of spit flying from his mouth. “Too bad he can never save his precious little pets.”
That seemed to hit a nerve with the Doctor and you had heard the stories of his past companions, of how much danger they had been put in simply by being with him. You knew it was scarred on his two hearts, every loss, every defeat, every life lost, every life he blamed himself for.
“The Doctor’s not good at saving anybody.” Another one called, amusement clear in its voice, “Poor little Doctor, all alone, no Time Lords around anymore.”
The creatures all laughed together and you winced as you watched fury take over the Doctor. It seemed these creatures had history with the Doctor, at the very least they knew exactly what buttons to press to tear him apart.
The Doctor looked different, he didn’t look like the Doctor you had seen every day, he looked like a whole different person. Cold fury in his eyes, mouth set in a thin line and his knuckles bone white from the grip he had on the sonic.
“You will let her go and you will leave this planet.” The Doctor told them, voice low and commanding the attention of everyone.
You could only stare at him, fear in your eyes, not sure who you were more afraid of in that moment. Usually you could read the Doctor easily, always seeming to know what his next step was but right then, in that moment you didn’t know what he was going to do.
“Or what, Doctor?” One of them spat but you didn’t bother looking behind at them, keeping your gaze on the Doctor. “The last time we met you were a coward, what’s changed?”
“What’s changed?” He shot back, taking a step forward and you felt your breath catch in your throat at his tone. “What’s changed? The last time I showed you mercy. That was a mistake. I won’t make the same one twice. Now leave.”
“Or what?” It asked again, tone hard as the creatures refused to move.
“Or I’ll burn this entire planet with you on it.” The Doctor said without hesitation and your eyes widened, staring at him in shock.
“You wouldn’t, the Doctor wouldn’t harm innocents, not in the name of revenge.” One of them laughed but it sounded nervous, like it didn’t believe its own words and looking at the fury on the Doctor’s face you had to agree with it.
“Do you really want to test that theory?” The Doctor asked, the silence stretching as the creatures all looked at each other. “All I have to do is press this button and you’ll be dead before you realise it.”
The Doctor held the sonic up and you shook your head, not that he was looking at you but you couldn’t believe him. He wasn’t bluffing, he wasn’t improvising whilst he came up with a plan to deal with this without harming anybody. He was being deadly serious.
You were terrified of the man before you. He wasn’t the Doctor, not the Doctor you knew anyway.
“Liar!” A creature yelled and the Doctor gave it an unimpressed look before going to press the button but you stood up before he could.
“Don’t!” You shouted, reaching a hand out like one would around a scared animal, locking eyes with the Doctor for the first time since you’d been pushed onto the floor. “Don’t.”
“Y/N, you don’t know what these are.” The Doctor told you, his thumb hovering dangerously close to the button on the sonic.
“I don’t care. This isn’t you, you’re the Doctor! People look to you for hope, you’re not a murderer, don’t do this! Don’t become them.” You pleaded with him but his face was still set with cold fury and you feared there was no changing his mind.
“Get to the TARDIS and don’t look back.” He instructed and you immediately shook your head.
“No.” You told him. “No, I’m not letting you do this. There are millions of innocent people on this planet and you will not destroy them for whatever grudge you’re holding.”
“You don’t know what you’re talking about, you need to leave. Now get on the TARDIS, Y/N!” The Doctor snapped and you felt tears sting your eyes but held your ground.
“No. If you’re going to burn this planet you’ll do it with me on it.” You said, voice shaking as tears made their way over your eyes, hating that you didn’t know what the Doctor was going to do.
“Get on the TARDIS.” The Doctor commanded through gritted teeth but you shook your head again.
“I already told you I’m not leaving.” You told him, blinking away the tears as they carried on running down your face.
The Doctor held your gaze, the small part of him that wasn’t consumed with anger and hatred felt guilt and hurt as you looked at him like you were terrified, like he was the monster instead of the creatures behind you.
“Leave.” He spat out, not taking his gaze of you as he addressed the creatures. “Get off this planet and if I ever see you again I won’t show a shred of mercy.”
The creatures wasted no time scurrying away, hurrying over to their ships and taking off just as quickly, leaving you and the Doctor staring at each other. Just as the Doctor opened his mouth, you cut him off.
“Take me home.” You told him, suddenly feeling drained.
“Y/N,” he sighed but you just shook your head at him, moving past him and making your way back towards where the TARDIS was parked, using your key to unlock the box and letting yourself in.
The Doctor sighed to himself, rubbing a hand across his face before pocketing the sonic and following after you, desperately trying to think how he could salvage this. He hadn’t wanted to let himself fall for you but over the year and the months you’d spent at each other’s side he couldn’t help it.
Now he was losing you because he had held onto a grudge from so many years back.
The anger had taken over him to the point he couldn’t control himself but you could, you stopped him even when he didn’t think he could be stopped.
When he walked into the TARDIS you were sitting in one of the chairs, looking away from him as he quietly worked on setting a course for Earth, hoping you would change your mind before you got there.
“I’m sorry.” He whispered, watching you closely. He could tell you were listening but you didn’t say anything.
“Those creatures, Y/N…” He trailed off and you finally looked over at him, seeing him take a deep breath before he spoke again. “Those creatures are called Eelvo’s. I met them a long time ago, long before I had this face. I lost somebody because of them and I let them go.”
“You don’t kill people.” You told him, your voice quiet but firm and the Doctor sighed as he came and sat next to you.
“I have bad days, Y/N. Days where I am not a good man.” The Doctor told you, ashamed of himself, ashamed that you had seen him like that. He had never wanted that.
“Doctor, today I was more scared of you than any of those other things.” You said softly, glancing at the Doctor as he shut his eyes and swallowed thickly around a lump in his throat, fighting back tears.
The last thing he had ever wanted was for you to be scared of him.
“I’m sorry, Y/N, I’m so, so sorry. I don’t know what happened, seeing them again after so long, seeing the destruction they were still causing, the pain and lives they were still taking…” The Doctor trailed off, a single tear making its way down his cheek.
You sighed softly, reaching over to take his hand in yours and giving it a gentle, reassuring squeeze. You were still unsure, still hadn’t liked seeing the Doctor so furious but he was still the Doctor, he was your Doctor again and seeing him in pain was the last thing you wanted.
“I’m sorry, Y/N/N, I never wanted you to hate me.” He whispered, his voice breaking around the words and you felt your heart break with them.
“I don’t hate you, Doctor.” You told him honestly, “I’ve never seen you like that and I didn’t like it but I don’t hate you. I’m not sure I could ever hate you.”
The Doctor smiled over at you sadly and you returned it, squeezing his hand again.
“I’ll take you home.” He whispered and you frowned, you had asked him to take you home but the thought of actually leaving the Doctor behind sent an ache through you.
“How about Zirafell instead?” You asked him, a small smile pulling at your lips as he looked over at you in surprise.
“You sure?” He asked, a hopeful note in his voice and you nodded, watching as his shoulders lost the tension in them and he let out a small breath, nodding himself before standing up and moving around the console to change the course, hoping that the two of you would be alright.

Tension Pt. 1
Tumblr media
I swirled my glass of wine, tongue fixated on the inside of my left cheek as I watched him lean over to her again and whisper something into her ear. That stupid dimple popping as he moves his hand to rest on her lower back.
Nothing about this should bother me. Nothing about the way his head tips back in laughter at her jokes should make me want to pour this glass of rose down the back of her silky silver dress. The only thing that could potentially stop their bodies from being fully intertwined like they had been all night.
I had no right to be angry at someone I didn’t know. A beautiful brunette with perfectly placed freckles with her hands on his chest. Face near his face. But here I am, two seconds away from breaking this glass against the brick wall I’m leaning against. I begged for any noise to drown out my thoughts of her face on his face, his neck, his body.
This rush of pulsating continuous thoughts was put to a pause by a hand on my shoulder. My eyes painstakingly left the bitter romance that I watched in front of me to meet bright blue curious eyes. I let my scowl fall as I read the concern immediately as pressure was added with a squeeze.
“Girl you cannot sit here and torture yourself all night,” Yuna looked at me wide-eyed as she grabbed the glass from my hand and took a sip before handing it back to me.
I knew she was right. I couldn’t just sit there and let my thoughts continue to dig their heels into the crevices of my thought process. But I couldn’t look away. I knew that the second my eyes left their intertwined arms, I would just continue to paint my own picture as I tried to keep up with the buzzing conversation at the table.
“I’m fine,” I say flatly. She ignores me. Interlacing our hands, she guides me back to our shared table.
They all look at me with the same doe eyes. I hated how I immediately knew that they were pitying me. Something in those soft glances made me want to spill my guts. And there was only way I planned on throwing up emotion tonight.
“Guys… why are you looking at me like that?”
Felix shook his head at me, the little cross earring in his left lobe shaking as he sighed. He grabbed my hands from across the table and lovingly drew circles on the tops of my palms. He didn’t say anything else but I knew what it meant.
I let his hands rest there as I scoffed, forcing a smile across my lips as my left eye glanced in their direction once more. Enough to hold me over until they were all distracted again. They were dancing. Closely. That’s all I allowed myself to see.
I let go of one of Felix’s hands and downed the rest of my glass, squinting my eyes at the impact. I looked back up at the table and their eyes were still on me. I finally gave in and asked the question.
“What’s up with you all? So quiet?”
I laughed. No one else did. Finally, the quiet was cut by the waiter setting glasses on our table with a bright smile. He dropped a dark liquid in front of me. I scrunched my eyebrows, turning left to catch his attention.
“Oh I didn’t order-“
The waiter smiled back at me, a small diamond gracing his leftmost tooth as it widened. He shook his head before speaking.
“You didn’t… but he did.”
The man pointed to a section across the room from the table. MY eyes followed and finally landed on him. He grinned ear to ear as he held her waist close to his. He shot a wink and shook his phone. I quickly looked down at my own bright screen and saw it aglow with a message.
“You deserve to have fun, yeah? Happy birthday xx”
I sent a quick heart react to the message as a faint smile fell across your lips. I looked back up at him and raised the glass with a nod. I looked back over at the table to three disappointed halfhearted smiles across from you as you slowly savored the free cinnamon and brown sugar coating the glass.
Felix finally breaks the ice with an eye roll.
“I know Chan is your best friend and it’s complicated but… Y/N I just hate seeing you like this… and on your fucking birthday.”
My own laugh sends a sharp pain to my stomach, and I take another long sip. I knew he was right. I knew constantly watching Chan dance with other girls really hurt. I knew that although he was entirely unavailable, I found it hard to date anyone because of him. It was unhealthy. It made me nauseous. I didn’t want him to leave.
“Felix. I promise I’m okay. Chan is going to Chan. I shouldn’t just not invite my best friend to my birthday celebration because I’m incapable of moving on.”
The liquor burns this time as I force it down my throat, but I am persistent. I let the full glass melt away in my body before facing them again. I smirked, leaning my hand against my head, feeling the burning of my cheeks against the chill of my palm.
“I’ll be okay. I just hope he gets whatever he planned to get out of this night so I can just focus on something else.”
Lia chewed on her bottom lip “I just think he’s kind of disrespectful. Like… even as your friend he couldn’t stop playing the field to celebrate with you?”
I nod softly. She had a point here. I had made these plans weeks ago. I just wanted one day with my friends to let loose and forget everything. But it’s hard to do that when your best friend is a rockstar with enough ego to be supercharged for life.
It wasn’t his fault though. I told him to have fun… and he is having fun. I know he is. That girl is beautiful. The way her arms seem to fit so perfectly around his neck as he pulls her torso into his. The way she throws back her head with easy laughter at anything he says, catching the brightest smile she’s ever seen on his face.
I envy the ease that comes with the beauty of her caliber. Even if it’s just surface level. Because selfishly and desperately, I wished that I was pretty enough that he forgot about all of my quirks. That he saw me as only an object of desire for once. That I could capture all of his attention with one bat of my eyelashes.
But he had to know my Ben & Jerry's, sobbing in the shower, corner store red wine, five seconds from a meltdown personality.
I lift myself off my chair, a slight haze covering my pupils for a moment before they clear.
“I’m going to get another drink. Does anyone want anything?”
They all shake their heads and I shrug as I push through pulsating rhythms and bodies to get the bar. I, unfortunately, lay my hands down on the sticky wood and immediately picked them up with a scrunch of my nose. I hastily grab my hand sanitizer out of my purse and glaze my fingers in the putrid liquid before looking back up.
A dark-haired bartender with glasses smiled at me as he cleaned off the glass in his hand. My eyes glanced at the way his arm muscles followed the motion of his hands for a moment before looking back at him.
“Hi!” I scream against the deep base of the EDM track behind me. The bartender’s smile deepens.
“HI!” he mocked me, giggling a bit after he did.
I bite down a smirk on my lips before continuing “Can I get a vodka cranberry…”
“Changbin.” He said confidently, nodding at me as he took my credit card from my waiting hand.
“Thank you!!” I yelled again, letting myself lean on the counter once again.
My eyes zeroed in on their dancing. However, this time Chan’s eyes directly met mine. I forced a smile onto my lips, about to mouth some stupid quip to embarrass him when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I spun around to meet those glistening dark eyes again.
“Here you go miss…”
I allowed myself to smile again “Y/N.”
He nodded, holding out a frosted glass and my card in my direction again. Our fingers grazed as I grabbed the items from him. “Man,” I thought to myself, “I really need to get laid. A Darcy-esque hand touch shouldn’t send shocks up and down my arm like this.” I giggle to myself and start to step away from the bar.
“Thank you, Changbin!” I yell at the same volume as I did my introduction.
He tapped his chest with his fist before screaming “You’re welcome, Y/N!!!”
I couldn’t fight back the giggles this time as I saw his obscene reaction. I let them fall one after the other as I kept eye contact with him. He breaks out into a bright smile before shooting a wink my way and turning back to the bar. I try to settle the reaction on my face as I turn around to move back over to the table. As I sit down, I already hear laughs around me.
“Oh he’s cute, Y/N…” Yuna starts. I lift my head to see her raising her eyebrows up and down in my direction. She points subtly behind me with a smirk. “And he’s still fixated on you even though he can only see your back right now.”
I slowly turn and meet Changbin’s eyes quickly before spinning back around. My cheeks were heating up as I tried to sip my glass casually and respond back to Yuna.
“He is kind of cute…”
I watched as Yuna scanned the room, her eyes meeting something before she almost doubled over in laughter. I feel my eyes widen in confusion as I watch her expression change. I am terrified to look around, not sure what my eyes will come in contact with. Luckily for me, Yuna paints the scene.
“Looks like your cute little interaction was noticed by someone else too…” She lifts her glass with a smirk
Now I was curious.
I turned around quickly, and I saw Chan leaning against the bar. Eyes blazed and glared right in my direction. The girl he was with dangling on his arm, trying to whisper in his ear but he continued to stare at me. I raised an eyebrow at him before turning back to the table with a shrug.
“He’s being weird, but what’s new.”
The three people across from me exchange some wide-eyed glances before looking back at me. I want to say something, but my thought is quickly stopped by a warm hand on my exposed shoulder. I don’t move out of shock, waiting for any other movement from whoever stands behind me. I felt whisky-laced breath hit my nose as they leaned their face toward my ear.
“Who’s your bartender friend, Y/N?”

It was another beautiful day in Pabu. The sun was bright and warm, moonyos were chittering as they ran across the paths, and Hunter stood against a wall, scowling at the scene playing out before him.
You were standing, talking to a neighbor excitedly about something he couldn’t make out, but he could see that you were smiling.
You had adjusted to life in Pabu easier than the rest of them, trusting the people here immediately and wholeheartedly. Sure, the rest of the squad was opening up, too, but there was something nagging at the back of Hunter’s brain every time he watched you make a new acquaintance.
Your laugh caught his attention and he watched as your hand touched the man’s arm, steadying yourself.
He heard Omega approach from his side. “Hunter?” she questioned, following his line of sight to you.
“Yeah?”
“Is everything okay?”
He briefly glanced down at her. “Yeah, everything is fine.”
Omega nodded, but her curious gaze stuck on him. “You’re doing it again.”
Hunter’s brow furrowed a little more. “What?”
She shrugged. “Echo told me I had to keep an extra eye on you because you do this thing where you stare at them looking all grumpy. He said that you were gonna scare them off.”
Hunter’s gaze finally fully shifted to her. “I don’t do that,” he protested, earning an incredulous look from his sister.
“Why are you always so angry with them anyway? They’re really nice and funny-”
“I’m not angry,” Hunter interjected with a sigh. “I just think they trust too easily.”
“Oh,” Omega hummed, drawing out the vowel. “So you’re protecting them?”
A vague suspicion tagged at the back of his brain as her tone shifted, but he ignored it as he kept his eyes on you. “Sure.”
“You don’t watch Tech or Wrecker like this,” she pointed out.
Hunter sighed. “They don’t get into trouble as much.”
“Is that the only reason?”
“Omega,” Hunter warned.
“Don’t you trust them?”
“I do, but-”
“I think you like them.”
Hunter all but growled in frustration. “Look, sometimes you have to keep an eye on people you lo– people you care about to make sure that they’re okay.”
“So,” Omega murmured. “You do care about them.”
“Yes.”
“A lot?”
“Ye– they’re part of this squad.”
He wasn’t sure when exactly she had left his side, his attention focused on you as you accompanied the neighbor back through the streets of Pabu.
It had taken quite a bit of practice, but Omega was getting better at evading her brother’s heightened senses. She ducked underneath a wall with flowers growing out of it, whispering your name as you emerged from your new friend’s house.
“Omega?” you chuckled. “What are you doing?”
“Get down here!” she hissed, her tone setting off an alarm in your mind, but her grin soothing it.
You knelt down next to her. “What’s going on?”
“Remember that special mission?” she smiled, excitement permeating the air around her.
You eyed her suspiciously. “Omega-”
“I know you said to drop it,” she explained. “But I think I’ve made some progress!”
You sighed, running a hand down your face as she continued.
“He only glares at you like that because he’s trying to protect you,” she informed you. “He thinks you get into trouble a lot, so he has to make sure you’re okay. But he said he cares about you a lot.”
You blinked at her, the information still processing.
“Why- why didn’t he come and talk to me himself?” you mumbled.
“Echo said it’s because he’s scared of you,” Omega stated, matter-of-factly.
You scoffed. “Scared of me? Look at me, ‘Meg; I’m not exactly intimidating.”
“Perhaps not physically,” Tech suddenly appeared at the other side of the wall they were sitting against, startling you. “But given that Hunter has seldom cared for anyone outside of his siblings, it stands to reason that his affection for you feels unfamiliar and therefore, uncomfortable.”
Tech continued on to inform Omega about how she can improve at staying out of Hunter’s awareness as you sat, trying to absorb the information. One phrase hummed through your body on repeat. He cares about you.
As it neared sunset, you found yourself sitting on the edge of the dock, staring out at the horizon.
“Mind if I join you?” Hunter asked. You nodded with a small smile.
He sat next to you, mirroring the way your feet hung over the side. You sat there together in an easy silence, though you could tell he had something to say.
“Did Omega tell you I was here?” you prompted. Maybe you could draw something out of the terse sergeant.
“Uh, yeah,” he hummed.
“So you came looking for me?”
He nodded, awkwardly sparing a glance towards you.
You smirked. “What can I do for you, Hunter?”
He felt his body humming with electricity as you said his name. You have no idea the effect you have on me, he thought.
“No? Maybe you could tell me,” you suggested, watching his entire face bloom into a deep red as he realized he’d voiced what he meant to stay in his head. You set a hand gently on his knee, noting the tiny gasp he made. “I have it on pretty good authority that you care about me.”
Hunter swallowed. Omega was so grounded.
“Perhaps our little double agent didn’t relay information back to you,” you mused.
“No?” he nearly whispered.
“She told me how you feel, but I don’t think she told you how I feel,” you smiled, feeling your own cheeks warm under his intense gaze.
Hunter’s mouth felt dry and his heart pounded against his ribcage. “And how do you feel?”
This was it. You had to say it now.
“To put it simply, I’m in love with you, Hunter.”
Time stopped around you, the ocean ceased its ebb and flow, the sun paused where it hung low in the sky. There was no sound but both of your heartbeats as you gazed at one another. Hunter’s mouth was parted in a tiny ‘o’ like he couldn’t believe what you’d just confessed.
Reality snapped back into place around you as he began to smile. He leaned towards you, one hand coming up to cup the side of your face. “I’m in love with you, too, mesh’la.”
Neither of you knew who’d closed the gap first, your lips slotting together in a deep and overdue embrace. He broke the contact first, resting his forehead against yours as he attempted to catch his breath. In this moment, it was just you and Hunter.
Neither of you heard the hoots and hollering of the rest of the squad.

i think i remember your pandora symptoms fic was in general, canon compliant to ITWALL and tbh i have been curious, has phil ever been "sucked in" into one of dreams nightmares like techno was?? (if the "dreamon chapter is even canon to itwall of course lol)
i forgot about this headcanon! i imagined it as a part of his admin powers that he hasn't mastered yet-- a way to communicate quickly with the players on his server. i think philza would recognize it.
----------
/dsmp /rp
Dream dropped himself into the kitchen chair, letting it creak loudly under his weight. Phil didn't even know he was awake already.
The arctic had settled into a slow, soft routine; Philza was usually first to wake, and he'd start breakfast as Dream and Technoblade joined him at their own pace. This morning, he had deep pockets of purple under his eyes and he seemed unable to hold himself up. His head drifted into his hands as he sat at the time. His hair was a mess.
Philza chuckled at him. The old man hadn't slept too well, either, but he was chipper as always as he tried to make food quickly. He put a kettle on the stove to get Dream's tea started. "Mornin', mate," he said, "I guess Techno really wore you out yesterday, yeah?"
"Mm."
"I'm surprised you didn't sleep in more."
"Couldn't sleep," Dream said as he rubbed a hand groggily across his face. "I'm so sore. I don't wanna look at firewood ever again."
"Ah, nothing a warm bath and some pain meds can't fix. You must've pushed yourself too hard."
Phil continued with breakfast. He opted for bagels that morning-- it was quick and easy, and made up for lost time since he was moving slowly. He also had apples on the stove for some homemade applesauce, and it made the whole cabin smell absolutely lovely. He mixed them occasionally, checked on the bagels, and peaked over his shoulder at Dream. The poor boy was nearly falling asleep again.
He jumped when the kettle started to whistle. Phil prepared an English Breakfast tea for him in his favorite mug, with milk and sugar.
"Thanks," Dream croaked, his thin fingers wrapping around the mug, cradling it delicately in both hands. Phil watched as he raised it to his face, sniffed at the air, and moved his hair aside so he could blow cool air on the surface.
"You didn't tell me that Sam poisoned you," Philza said.
Dream froze, green eyes darting to Phil's face.
"How did you know that?"
Phil turned his attention back to the apples, turning his back. "I had an odd dream last night."
Dream put the mug down, his back straightening. "Tell me what you saw."
"A part of the prison I didn't recognize, with chairs. I saw scraps of food on a table-- all potatoes, I think, but maybe not-- and I heard Sam asking questions. About Tommy. But I-- you-- felt so sick, the room was spinning. Could barely understand the questions at all. Dream, I asked you if Quackity did all of the damage, and you said yes." "And I didn't lie. Sam didn't-- Sam didn't hurt me. Not really. None of these scars are from him." Before Philza could voice a protest, Dream continued, "Listen, I-- I'm sorry. I don't know why I keep doing this. I did it to Techno, too, I-- sometimes I can control dreams on purpose, but more often I just... force people to witness random things that I don't even want them to see. I'm really sorry, Phil. I'll try to stop."
"No, no," Phil started, "I think this explains a lot. I've seen something like this before." "You have?"
"Mm-hmm. You projected a memory to me. If you can harness this, I think you'd be able to communicate to people even when they're awake. Sounds convenient, yeah?"
A way to communicate privately. Dream liked the idea.
Phil continued, "I'm angry about what I saw, don't get me wrong. Pissed off, really. But I'm glad to have discovered this. We can work on it."
Dream ran his fingertips along the handle of the mug. The glaze was smooth and cold, and it fit inside his palms neatly. He saw Phil watching him, waiting to find out if he would drink.
He drank.

Tumblr media
It's been months since you have seen your boyfriend. You tried to contact him but you've received voice mails instead which can be irritating for your part. You've been really worried about him getting into crazy shit again. No video calls, no messages, heck you haven't even received a single greeting like "hello" or "good morning". It really makes you worried a lot about Gun. You know he's strong. You know that he's a one man circle, but your girlfriend instincts always gets the better of you. You want to convince him to quit his job since it might put him more into potential danger in the future, but getting to know him better made you realize that even he is a masochist. He really has the passion and lust for fighting so you couldn't really stop him no matter how times you wanted to. It can also ignite a really bad argument so it's better if you just let him be. But he promised that he will take care of himself though.
It was 8 in the morning when you woke up early again in your gloomy and dark apartment. You encouraged yourself to slump yourself on the cozy and soft bed of yours. But no matter how many efforts you tried you thinking about that bastard again just makes you groan, you're craving for caffeine again.
Fixing the blinds, you winced as the sunlight made it's way to shine your eyes. It's not particularly sunny, but the sky and atmosphere is not too dreadful either. In fact it's the perfect weather for you. You got up to prepare and fix the coffee mixer and make your drink. It took minutes of you tapping your finger on the marble table humming your favorite song while you watch the machine, you being lost at your own thoughts. After minutes, you were mixing the hot drink on your mug before you heard the door open, you seeing your mentally exhausted boyfriend. Fucking bastard didn't even knocked on the door.
"Where have you been?" you asked in a concerned tone as he focuses his attention on you making eye contact. His black sclera were still intimidating to look at, but they weren't exactly too threatening. "Business" he bluntly replied not intentionally being rude, Gun was just like that all the time. You were about to ask more questions before he approached you while hugging you back and leaving wet pecks on your neck while caressingly touching your waist pulling you closer to him. "I'm sorry that I don't have time for you." "Hmm." you hummed as you drank the mix of sweet and bitter mixture. "You're not angry?" "Umm no? Why would I? It's your job to work for Charles." you playfully denied as he pulled you even closer, he knows that you're lying behind that pretty face but he understands and you have a point though. And hearing that old man's name really pisses him off at some point, but it coming from your pleasant voice makes him a bit calmer. "I'm going to take a shower" he mumbled as he buries his face on you even more. "Aren't you tired?" you asked as he chuckled, "Never have been."
Tapping your shoulder you watched him as he walked on the corridor and into your shared bedroom. It's his daily routine for him to go home and wash up first before cuddling and chatting with you on the bed. You went inside to prepare his clothes before seeing your half naked boyfriend, his scars showing up into his back but you couldn't care less. In your eyes, he's perfect.
"Looking at something?" you snapped at your own thoughts as you can see Gun's teasing grin as you laughed at him, your voice being gentle with a mix of tiredness on it. "Yeah" "You want to see it closer?" he teased you even more as you approached him as you hugged him from the back, you being obviously smaller than him. "You still look pretty even if you got lots of scars." "I know." he replied as you stayed like this, cuddling with him for a few minutes. He turned around to face you as he leaned in to give you a kiss, your tongue getting entangled from each other. The kiss wasn't really aggressive, but the way his tongue gently danced with yours is enough to make your underwear wet again. His hands were travelling to your face, slowly making it's way to your waist. Your clumsy ones are doing the same, it's playfully teasing his chest up into his abs. You weren't exactly that person who only relies on looks. But seeing your boyfriend properly taking care of his health makes you appreciate the effort he's doing to get stronger.
"Wow, you're getting more sturdy." you half joked as your eyes trailed down to his body. It wasn't necessarily in a lewd way, but it's just you being appreciative. And with this, Gun can't help but to be proud of himself. He managed to make himself physically pleasing so you also don't have to worry about his health. "Do you want to go to the gym tomorrow?" he asked as he leans closer to you with his hands still clinging on your waist. "Hmm... Sure, I got nothing else to do and it's best if we can check our BMI together." you liked his offer as both of your mouth curl into a smile as he pecks your soft cheeks making you chuckle. You got to enjoy your loves holding and kissing you like this.
A/N: Sorry if this is not up for your standards and it's so late (I'm doing my homework while procrastinating lol :)

Chapter index at the end of chapter one
Before Young’s execution
“Magic?” your mother asked. “Why are you getting yourself involved with that?”
It was late, and you never expected to be caught by your mother on your way back to your room. You obviously weren’t going to tell her the truth that you were with Young. So, you decided to tell her something that she might like to hear but was also partly the truth: you were learning about magic.
“Because I want to?” You didn’t know how to answer that question.
Your mother’s upset and disappointed look had you confused. Shouldn’t she be proud or happy that you were learning about what was happening with the world?
“Stop getting involved in things you shouldn't be."
You frowned. Then, before you could stop yourself, you swiftly said, “Is it because you think magic is dangerous? Or, is it because you think it’s something that only men should do?”
She said your name as if you were a child. “Magic has consequences.”
“Consequences means responsibility. I don’t want my future to be just an accessory.”
Your mother’s gaze hardened. “You—”
Then, you turned and left the room.
You were walking so fast that you didn’t see a young man come around the corner. You gasped. When you looked up, his eyes were as wide as yours. You heard your mother call your name. The man looked at you, and you quickly said, “Don’t say a word.”
Caelus had heard about you from Jing Yuan, the man he had formed an unexpected friendship. He described you as a princess with an “un-princess-like personality.” And when Caelus asked if Jing Yuan was ridiculing you, Jing Yuan said that it was a compliment, which sparked Caelus's curiosity. He never found an opportunity to approach you... until now.
You were about to leave when your mother found you. You were about to speak when Caelus said, “Do you mind if I borrow her?”
“What could you possibly want with my daughter?”
You and Caelus glanced at each other. “Jing Yuan is looking for her.”
"Is he?" Caelus nodded. Was your mother really going to believe a blatant lie? Well, she never failed to surprise you. She looked away and exhaled softly as if letting something slide. “...Very well.”
When your mother was out of sight, Caelus extended his hand. “My name's Caelus. It’s an honour, princess.”
"Caelus?" Then, it hit you. "The delivery boy?" He nodded as you shook his hand and introduced yourself . “‘I’d rather you call me by my name.” Eventually, you and Caelus began walking toward the garden together. “I've heard things about you.”
“Good things, I hope.”
“If you like being called cute and diligent by middle-aged women, then… yeah, good things.”
“The maids.”
“They talk. A lot.” You glanced at him. “So… Why’d you take this job?”
"I’ve always been curious about the palace,” he said, not looking at you. “My mother was here.”
“Your mother? Who?”
“...She’s gone now.”
Your expression turned sympathetic. “Oh… I’m so sorry.”
“She knew your father,” Caelus said, slowly looking at you. “Did you know?”
"Then, he must've recognized you."
"I'm afraid he didn't." Caelus was hoping he could fish something out of you. Or, maybe gauge your responses to see how much you really knew. But so far, it seemed like you were completely in the dark, Then, he cleared his throat. “Let’s stop talking about depressing things. Why did your mother look so angry?”
“Magic.”
“Magic?”
“I’ve been learning about magic.”
“That’s why she’s angry?”
You nodded.
“...Care to share how much you know?”
You glanced at him. “You're interested in magic?”
“I think it can improve people’s lives if used properly. But, my sister doesn’t want anything to do with it."
“Why's that?"
“...It can make people crazy.”
"Well, she's not wrong."
Caelus looked at you. "How are you learning about it? Through books?”
“I just met you. I’m not going to spill all of my secrets.”
“I guess we’ll have to become friends then.” You raised a brow. Then, he stopped and extended his hand again. “I’m Caelus. Your new friend.”
“Is this how you make friends with people?” you asked with an amused scoff. “You want to know how much I know? Why not share your secrets first?” When Caelus said nothing, you rolled your eyes. “See. They’re called secrets for a reason.”
“But, we’re the same race.”
“...And that matters because…?”
“Aren’t humans supposed to help each other? Our only enemy is the dragons, after all.” Caelus stepped toward you. “...Unless they're the ones you've been learning from.” After a short, tense silence, Caelus smiled. “Sorry. I’m just joking.”
“I still don’t trust you.”
Then, when you began walking away, Caelus ran up to you. " What if I made you a deal?”
Not long after Stelle receives the worrying call, everyone ends up at the police station and sees Stelle's father talking with a police officer.
“...Is it possible to track him?” you ask quietly.
You, Lan, Nanook, and Young are standing a short distance from the humans. Pom stands in the middle, wanting to know what’s going on in both worlds.
“If the rabbit can change into a dog, maybe we can," Nanook says. Pom flashes him an unamused look, and Nanook smiles. “Just trying to lighten’ up the situation.”
“Caelus likely has all of his memories back,” Lan says. “The final trigger. It would explain why he disappeared.” He exhales softly. “It’s possible we don’t have to look for him at all.”
"You think he's looking for Cupid?" Nanook asks. "A man on a mission."
"Then, we'll have to find him first."
Everyone but the humans turn to Young.
"I'm just going to ask," Nanook says. "How are you alive?"
It was shortly after Young got the locket back from Pom that he was infusing it with magic. Blood dripped from his hand, but Young didn't flinch as the locket burned into his flesh.
“What are you doing?”
Young nearly dropped the locket in surprise. He wasn't expecting a visitor. As his mother got closer, her eyes widened, but Young kept his usual calm. "Don't."
His mother didn't listen and grabbed her son's wrist, making Young drop the locket. The pendant landed on the floor with a soft thud.
"You have no reason to be toying around with this kind of magic," his mother said, stepping on the locket before Young could pick it up.
"You're mistaken, Mother. It wasn't what you think it was."
"Do not take me for a fool."
Young looked his mother in the eyes. "I was undoing a spell," he lied. "A shaman cursed this locket, and I'm undoing his magic."
"...A shaman?"
He believes Jing Yuan is going to start a war," Young said. "He cursed this locket in hopes that I'd give it to him. It'd be his downfall."
"Jing Yuan...? Starting a war?"
"I'm sure you've heard the stories, Mother. Jing Yuan is now the Commanding General of the North. There are people who believe he has ulterior motives."
"And how did you come to know about this shaman?"
"Because I am not human."
When his mother lifted her foot off the pendant, Young bent over and picked it up. "Why are you helping Jing Yuan?" she asked.
A pause.
"...I'm not. I'm helping you."
"So, you lied to your mother about using one of the most energy-consuming spells in history," Nanook says.
"You had to be sure that you were going to die if you put all that energy into tying your soul to an object," Lan adds. A small pause. “And that kind of spell wears off.”
“...What are you getting at?”
Before the god can say anything, Stelle walks up.
“...We’re going to help look for my brother.”
“What did the police say?” Nanook asks.
“They managed to track him on a few surveillance cameras around the city,” Gepard says, coming up beside Stelle with March.
“We’ll find him in no time!” March frowns. “Because I have a damn lot of questions for him.”
“As do I,” Stelle’s father says, walking up to Stelle’s other side. “Did you know he was in the hospital, Dan Heng?”
You and Young glance at each other. “No.”
“Is that so?”
“Well, the more eyes the better,” Nanook says, sighing. “Why not call Jing Yuan to help look for the guy? He has connections around the city, doesn’t he?”
“Jing Yuan?" Stelle's father frowns. "How would he know about my son?”
“Er… well…”
Stelle’s father frowns. “Who are you people, anyway? What is your relationship with him?” He shoots you, Pom, and Dan Heng a disappointed look. “Do you know him as well?”
“I’m surprised you’re so defensive,” Lan says with a pointed look. “Why is it so important whether we’re acquainted with Jing Yuan or not?”
Stelle turns to her father. “I remember you mentioning him before. How do you know him, Dad?”
“We’re business partners,” he answers cooly. “I’m surprised because young people like you shouldn’t know who he is.”
Somehow, you don’t buy it.
“Who's this Jing Yuan guy?” March finally asks. “Is he a bad person? Is that why everyone’s in a fuss?”
"Shouldn't we be focusing on finding Caelus?" you ask.
Stelle’s father says nothing and walks away.
◆◆◆
“...Hey, Caelus.”
Instead of working, Stelle was crouching and waving a long piece of grass in front of a black cat trying to catch it between his paws. Caelus was working in the garden as usual. Since their mother's disappearance, the twins have been selling crops to the market for a living.
Caelus stood upright with a large carrot in his hand. He wiped the sweat from his forehead with his arm. “What is it, Stelle? Maybe you could help.”
Stelle sighed just as the cat caught the grass. Then, she stood and walked to her brother. She crouched and started loosening the soil. “...Why do you think Father left us?”
“Why are you suddenly asking about that?”
“It's just something that's been on my mind." Then, quietly, "...Because Mom isn’t coming back.” Caelus’s shoulders fell as he watched his sister firmly tug on the carrot leaves. Once Stelle pulled out a carrot, she tossed it to him. “What did we do to deserve this? Is it our fault that no adult wants us?”
"What are you saying, Stelle? Mom didn't abandon us!"
Caelus wished he had a better answer. But he knew just as much as she did. Their real parents were young and poor. Left with no other options, they'd sold them to the woman Caelus and Stelle called Mother, the woman who had disappeared. But she had treated them as if they were her own children.
“...But she’s not here anymore.”
“I told you there's a reason.”
“I know,” Stelle muttered. “You saw her being taken.”
“Exactly! That wasn't her choice!”
Stelle looked in the distance where the palace stood. “Perhaps she’s enjoying the palace life. If only we could just see her one more time…”
“We will, Stelle.”
“There you go again.” Stelle rolled her eyes. “Stop your wishful thinking.”
“I’ll find a way to get into the palace.”
Stelle sighed. “I guess we'll talk when we get there.”
Caelus is sitting on a park bench, hunched over and his eyes on the ground.
It’s in the past.
That isn’t his life now. Sure, his mother isn’t always around because of her work overseas, but he has Stelle and his father. These memories… the life he lived… That’s all in the past. But if that’s the case, why does it still hurt?
“I don’t get it.” Caelus slowly looks up but sees no one around. “Why am I feeling this way?” The disembodied voice gets closer. Then, a breeze hits his right shoulder. He immediately turns and sees an unfamiliar man. He’s sitting next to him with one leg crossed over the other. “It’s nice to finally meet the brother who killed his sister.”
Caelus stumbles to his feet. “Who are you?”
Sampo uncrosses his legs and leans forward, his elbows on his knees. Then, he smiles. “Do you want me to answer your question?”
“...What question?”
“The life you’re living now is far from the one you had centuries ago. So, why are you feeling like you’re still living it?” Sampo stands. “Am I wrong?”
“Are you one of them?”
“A god?” Sampo scoffs. “No. And frankly, I don’t want to be one either. It’s not all that it appears to be.”
“That’s not my concern. If you’re not a god, who are you? Do you have something to do with Cupid?”
“Maybe. Sort of.” Sampo puts a hand in his pocket. “You can call me the Grim Reaper.”
“Is that a joke?”
“Would you like me to prove it to you?”
A short silence later, Caelus asks, “What do you want from me?”
“Why are you getting involved with them?” Sampo was stopped by Himeko while walking through the halls of the Astral Express. “It’s not like you.”
“I gave it some thought,” Sampo said. “But… as much as I got a kick over what happened centuries ago, it’s time for the foolishness to stop. Contrary to what they might think, I’m just bringing the truth to light. Cupid has to make a choice, but it’d be unfair to her if she made that choice without knowing everything. Don’t you think?”
Himeko exhaled softly. “I just hope your meddling doesn’t get you into more trouble than you are already.”
“Trouble?”
“Don’t play dumb.”
Sampo chuckled. “Ah. You mean ripping out Dan Heng’s heart? It was the only way to bring Young back.”
“You knew.”
Sampo smiled. “Young didn’t just tie his soul to the locket. He used black magic to make his mother forget about him, but that backfired, didn’t it?” Then, as if realizing something, Himeko frowned just as Sampo said, “You thought you knew everything, didn’t you, Himeko?”
“What really happened back then is not my concern.” Himeko sighed. “I just want you to do your job. It’s what I’m paying you for.”
“I may love my coin, but a job should be done well, right?"
“I want nothing from you," Sampo answers. “Just my help if you wish. I can see it all over your face, Caelus. You’re confused, lost, and, well, a little dead. No offence.”
“I don’t want these memories,” Caelus says through gritted teeth, his eyes becoming foggier. “I don’t care who or what I was.”
“You just don’t want to be burdened by your past.” Sampo steps toward him. “Well, sorry to say, kid, but that’s part of the curse. Your past self could never let go of the hate, and it’s longing for revenge. It doesn’t want you to fight. It wants you to succumb and kill Cupid.”
“Not just Cupid,” Caelus mutters. “I—”
“Caelus…?” Sampo turns and sees Jing Yuan who has a confused but cautious look. When their eyes meet, Jing Yuan narrows his eyes and asks, “Who are you?”
Caelus stumbles toward Jing Yuan as if in a trance. “...You…” Jing Yuan quickly looks back. “If only I hadn’t listened to you…”
Jing Yuan steps back. “What are you doing out here? You’re supposed to be at the hospital.”
Jing Yuan had been driving home when he decided to take a shortcut on a whim. He never thought he’d see Caelus and a suspicious man together in a park.
Caelus looks over his shoulder at Sampo. "You said you'd help me if I asked for it, right?" The veins on his neck grow darker, and his body is slightly shaking as if trying to control his impulses. Then, finally, he says, "...Then help me kill him."
“What do you mean you won’t kill her?” Caelus asked, clenching his fists.
“She has nothing to do with your mother’s death,” Jing Yuan answered, not looking at him. “Her mother’s dead. The King is… has gone mad. You accomplished what you came here to do.”
But it didn’t feel enough. Yes, Caelus had helped Jing Yuan kill Young, but Caelus didn’t want to stop there. He’d made his intentions clear when he'd found out what happened to his mother: he wanted the entire royal family dead. While Luocha was his mother’s son, he was a child Caelus was sure his mother wouldn’t love as Luocha was not conceived out of love.
“You promised to help me,” Caelus said through gritted teeth. “I thought we were the same.”
“I exiled her,” Jing Yuan said flatly. “What more do you want?”
“Is there something you’re not telling me?”
Jing Yuan finally looked at him and sighed in annoyance. “No, Caelus. We accomplished what we wanted.”
“No.” Caelus put his hands on Jing Yuan’s desk and leaned closer. “I can’t ignore this feeling anymore, so I’m just going to say it. Killing Young felt too easy. He trusted me too easily.” A small pause. “If you hadn’t exiled the princess, she would’ve been killed for her relationship with Young.”
“Your point?”
Caelus frowned. “Call me crazy. Insane, maybe. But, killing Young was planned. Not just by us."
Jing Yuan looked down and smiled. Then, he leaned back. “What an imagination you have, Caelus. You should write a book.” Jing Yuan’s gaze turned dark. “Where’s your evidence? Just because it was easy to kill him?” Then, he stood. “Young and the king are dead. The princess is gone. You got your revenge.”
“...If you’re not going to kill her, I’m going to find her,” Caelus muttered. “I'm going to find her, and I’ll kill her.”
Jing Yuan glared at him. “You're wasting your time. She has nothing to do with what happened to your mother.”
"You're still protecting her." Caelus drew his blade. “Should I kill you first?”
But he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his back. Everything started spinning, but before he blacked out, his eyes met Luocha.
Jing Yuan can’t believe this is happening. He’s wrestling with Caelus. Caelus, for goodness sake. And while Jing Yuan thinks it will be an easy fight, Caelus proves to be much stronger than Jing Yuan thought. Or, maybe it's because of the curse.
Sampo grabs Caelus by the shirt collar and effortlessly throws him off of Jing Yuan. “You ain’t killing anyone, kid,” Sampo says.
As soon as Jing Yuan gets to his feet, he looks from Caelus to Sampo. “...Who the hell are you?”
“You’re welcome.”
Jing Yuan hears a groan and sees Caelus staggering to his feet, swaying a little. Then, before either of them can say anything, Jing Yuan hears a familiar voice. When he turns, it’s his turn to groan. “Great,” he mutters as Caelus’s father runs towards his son. “This is just what we need.”
◆◆◆
“She’s learning about magic,” Caelus said, “and I don’t think she’s doing it alone.” It was the night after Caelus had met you for the first time. “I tried making a deal with her, but it didn’t go as planned.”
Jing Yuan was twirling the ring around his finger as if contemplating something. Finally, he asked, “What deal did you ask for?”
“I want to know how much she knows about magic and where she's getting this information from."
Jing Yuan looked at Caelus who looked deep in thought. It was by chance Jing Yuan met this mysterious delivery boy, but after a round of drinks together, Caelus spilled the real reason why he was at the palace. Jing Yuan could sense it. The frustration. Agony. Confusion. They were similar. Abandoned at a young age. And while Jing Yuan didn’t know what had happened to Caelus’s mother when they met, he wouldn’t be surprised if your parents knew about her disappearance. Caelus was broken. He was a boy who was forced to grow up too fast and needed someone to confide in… He may prove to be useful.
"Do you know? You two are close, aren't you?"
Jing Yuan didn't want to answer that question, and he didn't have to as a knock came at the door.
It slid open, and Luocha walked inside. "I hope I'm not interrupting something." Without another word, Caelus left the room. Once he slid the door shut, Jing Yuan exhaled sharply, but Luocha knew the frustration was not directed at him. "He's a curious one."
“He’s just a child.”
“Yet, you intend on keeping him around? Someone like him could be dangerous.”
“He’s all bark and no bite,” Jing Yuan said flatly. “But, he’ll be useful.”
“In what way?”
“He’s looking for information about his mother. She was apparently brought to the palace when he was very young, but she’s not here.” When Luocha said nothing, Jing Yuan asked, “Do you remember you telling me you think you’re not the queen’s son?”
Luocha narrowed his eyes. “...What are you getting at?”
“Perhaps they're connected.” Jing Yuan put a hand on Luocha’s shoulder. “Maybe you should do some digging.”
Jing Yuan began walking past him until Luocha stopped him by saying his name. The general looked over his shoulder.
“I saw you… with Young the other day.”
Jing Yuan turned around. “You must have imagined it.”
“But I didn't. I know what I saw.” Luocha had fully turned to face Jing Yuan. “What were you two talking about?”
Luocha’s hand is shaking as the cup falls and shatters on the floor. He takes a breath and is about to pick up the broken pieces when he sees an unexpected hand reach out. Luocha immediately turns and sees Lan.
“What are you doing here?” Luocha asks, clearly surprised.
“Caelus is missing,” Lan says without looking at the doctor. He picks up some of the broken glass, none of which cuts him. “I thought he might’ve come here.”
“Missing?” Lan stands upright and puts the pieces in a small pile on the counter. “Unfortunately, he’s not here… How in the world did he escape?”
“...He tricked one of the nurses, apparently.”
Luocha put a hand on the counter. “This is bad. I—”
“There’s something else I want to ask.”
A pause.
“Before Young died, had he ever met Jing Yuan?"
“Now, it’s my turn to ask," Luocha says. "Did something happen? Or else, why would you be asking?”
Lan exhales softly. “Young is back.” He doesn’t give Luocha a chance to ask as he explains what happened.
“...A spell that ties the soul to an object,” Luocha says. He sighs. “I guess that would explain why the locket went missing. It had a life of its own.” A small pause. “...What does that have to do with Jing Yuan?”
“That kind of spell wears off. In other words, Young had to know he was going to die. Or else, it wouldn't make sense to go through all that effort."
“...Wait. You’re not saying…”
“I think you know exactly what I’m saying.”
◆◆◆
When everyone decided to split to search for Caelus, you and Young had gone off together. It isn’t long into your search when Young asks about Caelus, and you tell him that he and Dan Heng are good friends.
“I see. That’s good to hear.” Young gives you a gentle smile. “I remember you talked about him quite a bit.”
“Did I?” You face him and gently squish his cheek. “Don’t tell me you were jealous. I don’t remember any of that.”
Your eyes slightly go wide as if you’d done something you weren’t supposed to. It’s strange. Your old lover in your current lover’s body. The two are supposedly the same person. So, it shouldn't feel different. Yet, it does. You’re about to pull your hand back when Young takes your hand.
“We have so much freedom here,” he says. Then, he leans in and kisses your forehead. “It’s something we’ve always wanted.”
That’s true.
“...Are you… going to stay?” you ask quietly.
“I can’t. Dan Heng is my reincarnation, but this is still his body.”
“...And his life.” Young is still holding your hand when he drops it to the side. “Even if you could stay, you’d be robbing Dan Heng of his life.”
“I know you wouldn’t want me to do that to him.” Young puts his other hand around your head and pulls you close. “The world is for the living. I may have tied my soul to the locket, but... that doesn't mean I'm alive. I have to move on." A small pause. "And I want you to come with me.”
Your eyes widen.
Young briefly closes his eyes. “...There’s also something I have to tell you.” He slowly releases you, and you’re looking into his eyes when he says, “It’s about how I died.”
“I don’t know if you’re bold or stupid.”
Young’s sharp gaze remained on the moon, despite the voice from the shadows behind him.
“Perhaps I can say the same for you.” When Young turned, his brother tossed the note and one of its edges landed firmly in the ground. Once Jing Yuan stepped on it, it immediately turned to dust. “It's been a while, Brother.”
“...You—”
“Did you know Mother would sometimes say your name in her sleep?”
Jing Yuan clenched his fists. “Did she tell you everything?”
“My father told me the truth about their marriage, and I started piecing everything together. For years, I've seen how unhappy she was with my father and her strong animosity towards humans." Young's gaze hardened. “Let me get straight to the point." A small pause. "She’s going to start a war.”
Jing Yuan furrowed his brows. “What—”
“I caught her multiple times experimenting with black magic. She wants revenge… for what the North did to the man she really loved. Your father. But she doesn’t want it to stop there.”
Jing Yuan almost laughed. “And why are you telling me this? Do you want me to stop her? Why would she listen to the son she abandoned?”
“She loves you, Jing Yuan,” Young said calmly. “...I was born out of a loveless marriage. You were not.”
Jing Yuan suddenly had Young by the throat against a large tree. “Yet, she chose you.” Young could feel his brother’s hand shaking. “Why is it always you?”
Young slowly pried Jing Yuan’s hand away and quietly said your name. “You lied to me that night when you said you’d kill her. I could see it in your eyes. You love her.” A small pause. “...Which brings me to why I’m here.”
Jing Yuan glared at his brother. “...Is Mother going to kill her?”
"The war is but a means to enslave the human race."
“And why should I trust you?”
“Because I cannot do this alone. I cannot stop her alone.” Young stepped toward his brother. “Mother is going to torture her, Jing Yuan. Her life will no longer be hers."
Jing Yuan clenched his fists. “You must be joking if I'm going help bring you two happiness. Mother and I share the same pain. Why do you think I came to the North? To get rid of this damn family.”
“...We will never have happiness.” Clearly, this took Jing Yuan off guard as he relaxed his hard stare. “Think about it, Jing Yuan. The situation. The circumstances. They say love conquers all, but that is only half the battle."
After a short silence, Jing Yuan looked away. “Then, why are you trying so hard? You can't be together. Why are you still trying so hard for her?”
“...Because no matter what happens, I want her to live and find her happiness even if it’s not with me.”
Jing Yuan closed his eyes and exhaled sharply. “You sure talk big, Brother.” Then, his gold eyes landed on him. “I hope you’re ready to live up to what you say.”
“I am. Because for this to work, you’re going to have to kill me."

Flaws. Part 8. Lassen POV
Early in the morning, I woke up to the smell of burnt coffee—not exactly the most pleasant start to the day. Y/N stood by the stove, looking extremely upset, with a nearly frightened Apple beside her. Curious.
"I stayed up all night because of you, to hell with all your advice, and this damn coffee too," she practically growled.
"Listen, what does this have to do with me? Again? Is this some cursed ship? What's gotten into you?"
"I don't even know," Y/N suddenly said with a resigned tone. "I don't know, that's all. I wish I could be calm, unflappable, and all that, but I can't."
Jeffrey threw up his hands. "So, something did happen, I get it." He started pacing back and forth. "I get it. I'm going to kill him."
"What?"
"And don't even think about stopping me!" Jeffrey suddenly halted, pointing a finger at Y/N.
I sat up, rubbing my eyes and trying to find my glasses. "Good morning, what happened?"
Apple hovered over me, blocking the rays of sunlight. He shook his head. "You’re not going to like it."
"Jeffrey, you're losing your mind," Y/N said, standing beside him. "Explain yourself, please."
"Fine, but first, I have to take care of something." He grabbed a frying pan lying nearby.
I dodged just in time, wide awake now. "What are you doing?"
"What a scoundrel you are, Lassen."
Now, imagine the scene where I'm forced to run away from a crazed Applyard, who’s swinging a frying pan like a baseball bat. He stomped right over my sleeping bag. "Anders, you're a man, why are you running away?"
"I'm not going to hit you! I was even ready to laugh, but it wouldn't have been polite. "Don't step on my glasses."
"I'll eat them if I have to," he hissed.
At this point, the attempts to clobber me with kitchenware had exceeded all conceivable limits.
"Stop it already," Y/N said, "or I'll grab something heavier, and neither of you will like it."
Jeffrey swung again; I ducked, intending to turn around, but those damned lost glasses made some objects almost invisible. I sprang up, took a step, and fell straight into the cellar, landing spectacularly on the dusty floor.
"Serves you right—fate is punishing you," Jeffrey said, closing the hatch.
What a day… I'd love to see Y/N's face right now.
"What's going on here? Why are you holding a frying pan, and where's Lassen?" Hesse appeared on the stairs.
"He went to get supplies."
"Where?"
"In the cellar."
Turns out Applyard is quite funny.
"And you locked him in there?"
"Don’t you dare go near it," Jeffrey warned Edith. "Or you either. We're about to have an important conversation."
"You can't keep him in there."
Thanks, darling, for stating the obvious; I couldn't help but snort.
"Just because I'm silent doesn’t mean I agree with this." I stood up, peering through the slats of the hatch.
"As if anyone doubted that. Fine, Y/N, now tell me. You had a chance yesterday, and maybe no one would have gotten hurt."
"Jeffrey, don't make me angry," her voice now truly menacing.
"I'll go get Gus; you two try not to kill each other in the meantime."
"You're overplaying the big brother role, Apple; it's too much."
"Not true—he's alive, he fell on his own, and a frying pan isn't a gun or even a knife. I knew what I was doing."
"So, why is Lassen in the cellar?" Gus asked calmly.
"We're in the process of finding out," Jeffrey replied, then stepped closer to him and whispered something.
Y/N leaned over the cellar, "Are you okay?"
"Yes, considering the situation, I'm fine. But what did I do wrong?"
"I don't know, Jeffrey thinks…" Y/N bit her lip. "In short, he believes that you're the reason I'm not myself."
"And are you not yourself?"
"That's more of a philosophical question, but overall, I guess I’m just slightly different than usual."
"And do you see this as something bad?"
"Not exactly."
"Maybe you should have just talked to me directly?"
She stood up, opening the cellar.
"Thank you."
Three pairs of eyes stared at us.
"Gus, tell me, as a friend, have you noticed anything strange between them?"
The captain gave us a sly look, mischief sparkling in his eyes. "No, I think the only suspicious one here is you, my friend."
"Alright, let's ask Freddie. Someone must have noticed, besides him, of course," Jeffrey pointed at Hesse, who immediately put on a hurt expression.
I finally found my glasses, safe and sound, and the world regained its familiar colors. Y/N sat on the bed and sighed. "This really is one crazy ship."
"You guys are going to push your luck too far next time," Gus said, lighting a cigarette.
"So, Jeffrey didn’t lose it, and it’s true?"
Y/N and I exchanged glances, and I realized it was time to come clean. After all, I couldn't think of any reason to hide if everything was honest.
"It’s true, and we’re going to tell everyone."
"I knew it! I knew it!"
"Knew what?" Freddie asked loudly, probably trying to cover for us.
"I knew there wouldn't be coffee today. I had a dream, and it was prophetic."
Jeffrey looked at everyone. "Alright, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I was wrong. Sorry, Lassen."
"No, listen, can we be left alone?" I peeked out from behind Applyard’s back at the others, who were closely watching the unfolding scene. "Please."
They left, clearly unhappy about missing the show.
"And you too, Y/N. This is a one-on-one conversation."
She furrowed her brows, as she often did, but left the room.
"Listen to me, and stay calm."
"Alright, agreed."
"I understand that you’re worried about Y/N, and you have the right to know the truth."
"I don’t like where this is going."
We sat at the table, facing each other. I cleared my throat—this wasn’t going to be an easy conversation.
"What you thought… it’s true."
"Let me tell you what I thought before I grab something accidentally. I thought that you, how should I put it, used her and left. You know?"
I laughed at the absurdity of it but stopped when I saw his scorching gaze. "No, of course not."
"Are you sure?"
"Absolutely."
"Then what’s going on?"
"How should I say it… we're together."
"You’re dating?"
"It seems so. At least that’s what I think."
Jeffrey leaned back in his chair, studying me.
“And it’s serious?"
"Yes. More than serious."
"Then what’s wrong with her?"
"I’ll figure it out, and it’ll be a lot better than locking me in the cellar."
"Sorry, I overreacted. If you were in my shoes, you would’ve knocked me out, you know that."
"Probably," I said, adjusting my glasses and recalling the situation at the pub.
We shook hands as a sign of reconciliation. What a weight off my shoulders.
"But I’m still watching you, remember that."
"Oh, yes, hard to forget now."
Jeffrey got up and left, and Y/N appeared right after him. "What happened?"
"Good timing. Now it’s your turn to talk."
She reluctantly sat down across from me.
"Tell me everything that’s bothering you. You know that if it matters to you, it matters to me too. You don’t have to go through it alone, not anymore."
She squirmed in her seat, not meeting my gaze. "Yeah, probably, but it’s not that easy."
"Alright, if you’re not ready to talk now, you don’t have to. Just know that I’m here," I said, standing up and kissing her on the forehead. "And good morning."
Y/N avoided me the entire day—no eye contact, no crossing paths. At first, I thought the awkwardness was still lingering, but the more time passed, the worse it got. I was completely bewildered; everything was falling apart, and all I could think about was her. She was noticeably nervous, constantly tucking her hair behind her ear. She stayed silent during lunch and later sat on the bow of the ship for a long time, dangling her legs and drinking what was clearly terrible coffee.
"Here, take this," I handed her a cup. "Just brewed it."
"Thanks," Y/N replied, taking the hot drink cautiously. "I can never get my coffee right."
"How are you?" I leaned against the railing, facing away from the ocean.
"I’ve been thinking all day, thinking and thinking. I’m sorry I shut down so abruptly."
"You gave me a scare, no doubt about that."
Y/N slightly smiled, breaking through my annoyance. "I didn’t mean to; I just needed to think about how to tell you everything, explain how it all should look. But the most important thing I realized is that I want to open up to you."
"That’s really good to hear, truly."
"Jeffrey talked to me and said you’re a great guy. What did you tell him? Or do these secret charms of yours work on everyone?"
I smirked. "Just the truth, that’s all. And it turned out to be much better than what Apple thought."
"It's scary to imagine what came to his mind. Alright, Viking, let’s meet here tonight," Y/N smiled, jumping back onto the deck. "And thanks for the coffee. You probably slipped something into it and enchanted me."
I laughed. "I’m more inclined to believe you could’ve done that, maybe even by accident."
"You know, Lassen, chance decides everything."
"I believe it, Y/N."
We stood there, looking in the same direction. I covered her hand with mine as the sky changed into a rosy sunset. The last rays of the sun were glowing in Y/N's eyes. She stood, open to the wind, mysterious and genuine, incredibly beautiful and alluring with an unknown charm. Y/N was like the ocean—one moment warmly embracing, the next knocking you off your feet with its wildness. It seems that's her secret.
"So, lovebirds, how’s the mood?" Gus approached us.
"Great. How did you figure it out?"
"I knew before you did. It’s obvious."
"Everything became clear to me too, and you’re still denying it," said Y/N, tilting her head slightly.
"I still deny it."
"Whatever you say, Captain," she smiled. "No means no. But maybe I’ve noticed something else. Let me know if you're interested." She left, waving.
"Look at this beauty," Graham said, coming closer and gesturing toward the horizon. "It would be nice to go for a swim."
"Are you suggesting we drop anchor and forget all our troubles?"
"It already sounds like a bad idea."
"Exactly!"
Y/N chuckled. "You could always jump overboard and fake a failed attempt?"
"Do you mean a failed accident?"
"No, we don’t need misfortune."
"Gus, she’s giving me bad ideas, and I like them," Graham laughed.
"I’ll be ready, just in case."
The evening deepened. Twilight thickened, closing in around the sparse lights on the ship. The crew gradually settled down to sleep. Once Graham started snoring—a sure sign of deep sleep—I went out onto the deck. I heard footsteps behind me.
"Here," I handed her my sweater. "And what’s with coming out here like we’re in the tropics?"
"It’s going to get really hot soon."
"Mmm, I wasn’t expecting that from you," I smirked.
"Hey, I’m talking about the weather."
I raised my hands. "Of course, of course."
She frowned, a sign she didn’t trust me. "Alright, let’s get straight to the point."
"Please, are you ready for confession?"
"Lassen," Y/N hissed, "you're wasting your breath, that’s not even funny."
"Yeah, I’d make a bad priest."
She rolled her eyes in annoyance. "When you’re done flaunting, alpha male, then we can talk."
I laughed. "I just want to ease your nerves. There's no need for them. Alright, I’m quiet now."
She sat down on some wooden crates. "You know, I never came up with a plan for what I wanted to say. So, I basically wasted the day, but I decided to speak from the heart."
I nodded, managing to hold back a comment as I immediately caught her angry look.
"So, here’s the thing: I thought that all this," she waved her hand between herself and me, metaphorically avoiding the word 'relationship,' "was foolish. And I had a few reasons. First, I don’t really know you. For all I know, you could have a shady past. Of course, it’s probably quite shady, but I’m talking about relationships."
"So, like the possibility that I have a wife and kids, and maybe even ten mistresses on the side?"
She nodded, pressing her lips together, and I laughed. "Alright, what’s next?"
"I’ll pretend that’s no longer a concern, based on your reaction."
"Thank God."
"Second, I really don’t know you. I mean, all my observations are quite insignificant, and while your childhood was certainly interesting, it doesn’t seem reliable."
"You can’t trust me, but that’s your problem." I shrugged.
"Basically, yes," Y/N responded quietly, "but I really want to."
"Stand up."
"What?"
"Come up here," I pointed to the railing, which was wide enough to stand on.
"Why?"
"And jump."
"Oh my God, you might as well point a gun at me," she looked at the water in disbelief. "You want me to jump there? And why on earth?"
"Of course not there. You know how kids play, they lean back, trusting the person behind them. Jump backward onto me."
"Lassen, this is some silly trust exercise."
"You’re wrong. Do you know why?"
She looked at me questioningly.
“I’ll tell you if you do it. Understand, I can’t convince you with words alone. If during all this time, you haven’t once felt that you can rely on me, then it’s just for show.”
“Alright,” Y/N climbed up onto the railing, holding onto my shoulder.
“Just, please, not that way,” I pointed to the water. “Keep your balance.” I continued to hold her hand, stepping back.
The ocean splashed below, sending up sprays of water that reached Y/N, while the wind tousled her hair. It seemed as though I couldn’t picture her in any other element. She gripped my hand tighter and nodded.
“Wait, don’t, you’ll fall. The weather isn’t right for this.”
She smiled fleetingly, almost imperceptibly, before jumping into my arms.
“I don’t need to prove anything. I even know what you’re going to say.” Y/N was silent, looking into my eyes. “I already trust you; otherwise, I can’t explain why I climbed up there in the first place.”
I smiled, pulling her closer. “I know we can’t even imagine how this will all end, but believe me, no matter how it turns out, we’ll keep going.”
She nodded, resting her head against my chest.

Leorio friend head canons:)? Just like general stuff for being his friend
Ooooh yess been meaning to start writing about Leorio on my own for a while, but looks like the asks beat me to it lol Thank you for requesting this! I definitely have thoughts about being Leorio's friend
🩵Friendship with Leorio HCs🩵
Tumblr media
Med school:
You and Leorio enrolled in the same med school at roughly the same time, and ended up in the same class.
However, he didn't seem really interested about making new friends at first, only interacting with you and other classmates if necessary and focusing on his studies. Though he'd occasionally show up to parties to pick up ladies.
You were admittedly curious about him, not only because rumors had it he was a Hunter, but also because of how passionate and determined he was to really make what he studied for into a career.
The opportunity to finally talk to him presented itself on a quiet afternoon in the school's library.
Oddly enough, Leorio wasn't busy studying that day; he was just sitting on a window sill, trying to call someone on his phone. You saw him sigh, concern plastered all over his face... then he noticed you staring at him, flinched and went back to acting as if nothing had happened. "Oh hey y/n! S-sup?"
You ask if everything is okay, and he tries to deflect the question at first, but eventually gives in and tells you about a friend of his, Kurapika, who hasn't been answering his calls lately, and he's very worried for him.
You listen to Leorio, offer some words of comfort. He's really glad that he got to talk about this with someone, and that if you ever needed someone to talk to he'd always be available.
Ever since then you two have made it a habit to chat during breaks and hang out outside of class, going out for a coffee or studying for exams together.
Caring to a fault:
The closer you got to Leorio, the clearer it was that he's willing to put the people he loves above anything else.
When for whatever reason you miss class, he's always the first one to send you a text asking if everything is okay.
He also tells you what topics were talked about that day, if there's any assignments, and even sends you the notes he's taken during class! He wants to make sure you don't fall behind on your studies.
Leorio would also take all your concerns seriously, whether they have to do with your mental or physical health. He's completely willing to offer unbiased advice, and genuinely gets concerned if you tell him you've been feeling unwell and you can't figure out why that is yourself.
Man's going to spend hours researching your symptoms, and find ways to make you feel better.
Once he develops his Hatsu he's even more efficient at that, and often jokes that he won't charge you a dime for a diagnosis. You know full well he wouldn't charge anyone money for that, that's just not the kind of guy he is.
He tends to behave as a big brother a lot of the time, even reminding you to eat and drink if you're one who often forgets to, and even makes sure you get enough sleep.
Basically, he's always looking out for you.
Good fun:
Of course, being caring isn't the only thing he's got going on for him, the guy is also genuinely fun!
There's never a boring moment when you're with him, whether it's because he's gotten himself into trouble or because he's just bringing you with him to a party... you never really know with him, sometimes it's both.
Really, only he can turn a chill party night into a game of 'run away from an angry boyfriend', just because he flirted with the wrong girl there.
And of course he drags you off with him, because buddies stick together!
On nights where things do go well, he has the bad tendency to get absolutely wasted, but it's alright, he's the funny kind of drunk, he gets all wobbly and starts talking nonsense until he falls asleep, probably on you. He's a mess.
Leorio at heart is a pretty adventurous guy, so whenever you guys are free from classes and exams, he often suggests to go on hikes and such.
Although a lot of the time, those hikes turn into him paying very close attention to the plants growing in the area you're exploring, taking note of any medical plant that could come in hand, because "You never know how much equipment you're gonna have on you to practice first aid!"
He's really resourceful like that.

Tumblr media
A little text I used to write, so I thought I'd share it.
Warning: Partial OOC.
— And why did you suddenly decide to mess with me? - Rire grinned, - It's not really like you.
Claire looked at him irritated. He found it amusing that he was the one who mostly evoked this kind of emotion in her. But there was a charm to it. It gave the man a chance to see other sides of young woman.
— Doesn't fucking it sound like me.... Maybe you demons can't feel in something like empathy, but humans can. I'm sorry, but even though you're a damned piece of asshole who does whatever comes into his head, but calmly - the girl points at the wound - I can't look at this.
Elford continued to treat and heal the wound, muttering something to herself.
In a way, it wasn't usual to see Claire, who was always optimistic and friendly and nice to everyone, getting angry and annoyed with him. Claire hadn't even spoken to him lately and ignored him. Needless to say, she didn't like being around him.
Elford suddenly pressed the alcohol-soaked cloth on the man's wound carelessly, causing Rire to hiss. It wasn't clear if she did it on purpose or unintentionally, but there was no way to find out. Claire continues .
— I'm stupid, but I'm not dumb or blind Rire. If you're bored, you should find something more useful to do than cruel scoffing and making fun of those weaker than you. It's not going to make you any better or cooler.
Rire chuckled quietly. It was ironic that he had a particular curiosity for her character. But her modus operandi can truly be found in few people. To meet someone like Claire in general is a rare occurrence, which only adds to the already riven interest. One wants even more to understand what she might be capable of.
— You're naive, my dear.
— I know, and you're a bastard and prick who doesn't give a fuck about anyone but yourself. - young woman snorted.
Ouch. And that hurt... Suddenly the man felt as if he'd been stabbed. The demon was strangely stricken by something in that sentence. Unpleasantly hurt. It wasn't even the sentence itself, or it was what she said. It wasn't strange thing, he'd heard something like that from many people and creatures he'd done the same thing to as he'd done to her, and could even do worse. It seemed to be the thing is the very person who uttered the sentence, or perhaps her tone?
Became curious as to why this was so, and why he became feel so uncomfortable....
— There's nothing stopping me from saying that against you," she continued, - since I'm entertainment for you for a while. You know, I'm sorry I'm like this, maybe I'm a little less naive when it comes to dealing with people, and I wouldn't have run into someone like you.
Claire had finished treating and dressing the wound. The girl herself was clearly having a hard time telling what she was feeling at this moment. Everything was just a big lump inside her, and she couldn't make sense of it.
— Well. I'm finished. Go and get on with your demon business.
Elford stood up and was about to leave the room, when she heard a question asked of her.
— What do you feel for me? - Suddenly a question sounded from the man's side. Claire looked back.
— What, why are you even asking that?
— I'm just curious.
—You can be sure and satisfied. I feel nothing but contempt for you. After what you did, you can't expect me to be nice to you.
— But you dressed the wound me, even though you know I wouldn't die from something like that," Rire gave his trademark smirk.
Claire sighed heavily, covering part of her face with her hand. How hard it was for her to be with him...
—It's just a courtesy, nothing more. If you're still trying to figure out if I like you, you can drop it. You disgust Rire. It's impossible to love someone like you.
